  1. That's unlikely to happen but I'd totally buy it, and flip the discs as many times as I need to. They could release it staggered, in parts throughout the year.

Regarding the 2LP release, it's indeed symbolic. They could have done a 4 LP out of it, Deutsche Grammophon is not a small company ffs.

I could see this as a blu-ray audio release at standard resolution to make it fit, probably in a hardback book package. That would be nice.

Doesn't matter though, spend an afternoon with this baby, you won't regret it. I baked some bread and had coffee all day :)

Regarding the 8 hour (and 24 minutes) duration, like I said: the music is so good, you can't think of anything else you'd rather do. He's really outdone himself. But I could go on and on, so I'll leave it there.

  2. Found this album at my local shop, and can't seem to find much about it. Anyone know if it's a good quality bootleg?

I've had this bootleg - both the single LP and the double LP version. They both sound horrible, I mean the source is an old ROIO which is not very good to begin with. You're better off just downloading the ROIO. There are a couple of versions floating around the internet.

  3. Here's why I will not buy from One Little Indian again.

I bought all Bjork releases at once during the last re-issues they did, and paid that insane shipping tag for Royal Mail.

Only to find that they have shipped them from Toronto where they have a warehouse for North America, for a lot less mind you.

The warehouse sent them in a sloppy box via courier and I also got slapped with a 27% duty fee. In the end, that shit cost me cca. $50 per record.

They are a great label, but they don't care too much about things like... maybe having a North American online store, or having adequate shipping options for overseas. I mean, with the warehouse over on this side and all.

Now, I'm happy with my Bjork records, they make quality vinyl, but no more ordering from them... As much as I'd like these fruity frisbees.

  4. If there's one way this album was intended to be listened to, it's on white vinyl Japanese bootleg.

No, the way to enjoy this album is while we're young or alive even.

Y'all feel free to wait for Kevin's remaster whenever that comes, hopefully before senility sets in, his or yours.

On a side note, these Creation bootlegs are not Japanese, they're made in US (just like the Slowdive 2LP's).

Are people really fooled by a line of Japanese copy slapped on a bootleg?
