  1. So:

The only official Rammstein vinyl was only issued for 2 albums: Mutter in 2001 and Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da in 2009.

The pressings you see for Herzeleid (2LP), Sehnsucht (1LP), Live Aus Berlin (2LP), Reise Reise (1LP) and Rosenrot (1LP) are all boots.

Recently a bootleg of Mutter also surfaced as "Japanese Fan Club" with Obi strip and bonus track.

That said, I have most of these and I can say the bootlegs are decent. Nice gatefold covers, a variety of colors, and the sound isn't your typical vinyl standard but is actually ok and I enjoy these records often.

I still need to score that Herzeleid 2LP but I'll have to wait for a cheaper opportunity.

Keep an eye out, the bootleggers seem to be pressing these regularly on different colors and spread them on ebay.

  2. It's probably too European for most people here and the general spectrum of this board but, these I would like re-pressed and widely available:

    -Air (the "French band")

    -Hooverphonic

    -Placebo

-Rammstein (for fuck's sake, ebay and discogs flooded with un-limited bootlegs for insane prices, for years now)

    -Murcof

-The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation - Denovali, come on dudes. We're only getting older.

-Brian Eno - there are at least a dozen releases that never made it to vinyl, and barely on CD even.

-Stas Of The Lid - Kranky should buy a manual record press and make Stars Of The Lid vinyl between answering e-mails and laundry loads.

Also, somebody re-issue Tim Hecker's first albums "Haunt Me, Haunt Me Do It Again" and "Radio Amor" already.

  3. Any recommendations in particular?

Personally I recommend getting into the Denovali releases, you won't find them any cheaper anywhere else.

Depending on your cash flow right now, I recommend:

    Field Rotation (absolute must)

    Greg Haines Boxset,

Greg Haines - Where We Were 2LP,

    Saffronkeira (all of them),

    The Alvaret Ensamble,

If you like your ambient with a post rock vibe, Terminal Sound System is a go.

Preview the shit quickly on youtube or wherever and make your choice.

  4. I hear ya, I wish they would press that one you mentioned as well as the Greg Haines album, but sadly I've spoken with Monique who runs the label, and those are highly unlikely to ever get pressed! But pretty much every single LP or CD they release is GOLD! Honestly, there isn't a single release in their catalog I don't love...

All Greg Haines solo albums have been released on vinyl on Denovali, except "Moments Eluding " released by Kning Disk.

You can still get the Denovali wooden boxset of clear gold vinyl.

Experimedia has it on sale at 25% off and sale ends today.

There are so many goodies on sale over there now.
