Plus none of these douches have that gear, cmon son.
Besides, cleaning 500 albums with 27.5 variants for each album is a pain. Ain't nobody got time fo dat.

At least the guy started right... ahem, I mean, yeah man... take that shit to r/vinyl. This board is for the overgrown infant skater punk has-been t-swizzle jerk-offs with a passion for carbohydrates and pseudo hip-hop.

Thanks everybody for your input. Cheers!

Did they print the lyrics? And if so, on lyric sheet inserts or on printed inner sleeves?

I'd like to hear some conclusions on these last individual reissues on Rhino/Rough Trade/Sire from 2009 to 2012, regarding the sound quality and packaging. Preferably from people who bought all of them including the compilations.
Regarding packaging - gatefold or not, printed inner sleeves or not.
With your comment, please state whether it's UK or US pressings you are talking about.
Thank you.

I was going to but then I scored a long time want of mine and the excitement threw me off

Something curious: A local store had loose copies of the records from this boxset... anyone else noticed this somewhere else?
Just wondering if they were made available individually outside the box, or maybe the store had a fucked up box and decided to sell them individually outside the set... (can't think of another explanation).

Just wanted to recommend some killer drone/ambient by Whote
http://whote.bandcamp.com/album/whote-ii-moons - There are two releases on vinyl
He also has a more ambient project with a 2LP release here: http://thomaswatkiss.bandcamp.com/album/ancestor-silence

Really?!? I wonder if I just have a bum set although as I said, Ive seen similar complaints elsewhere. I was listening to an original Harvest pressing of Wire's "Chairs Missing" which sounded great. I put Suspended Animation afterwards and had to jack the volume. Even then, it sounds small and muffled...nowhere near the power of the cd.
Anyway, Im glad you like it. I have high hopes for the Bungle reissues..although I will probably wait for reviews before rushing to buy.
Dude, I hope you're not sporting a Crosley...
I'll join the others in saying that all of the five LP's sound excellent. And even though the surface of the records is somewhat scuffed from fabrication and or handling in manufacture, I've only heard a pop on the first record. Otherwise, all smooth.

I was drawn to this by the artwork - see here https://www.behance.net/gallery/22354161/BARDO-
I then listened to the full album stream here - http://www.allmusic.com/blog/post/album-premiere-christopher-bono-bardo
It's not my thing but thought maybe some of you might like it. There is a 2LP release available through Bandcamp - http://oursilentcanvas.bandcamp.com/album/bardo-special-ltd-double-lp-includes-digital-download

Really sucks, but what are you gonna do?
Don't buy a record box before its records are released?

My daughter's got monopoly on the turntable with this fucking record but I gotta say "Style" is a decent track...
-
Resurrecting the thread because apparently this record has grown on me.
A year later somehow it sounds different, kind of weird but I love the record now. I can't understand how I dissed it when it came out.
Maybe because I listened to it totally disinterested and very casual... not sure, but I enjoyed it a lot.
Not really important, but curious if anyone else felt the same.

Mine is wrapped in pink and under the Christmas tree... Stupid Santa

Lame all around. good luck, i'd cancel get a refund. but thats bitter old grumpy me talking.
Oh no, I cancelled and if I don't hear by tomorrow, I am disputing through Paypal. I mean, my initial order confirmation said "In Stock".
Sorry to hear about your stuff, it's pretty low.
-
I had a weird experience with them.
Ordered 3 records, shipped to Canada. Received order confirmation, next day received invoice for 3 records... paid invoice, in retrospect it should have seemed low, but it was more than the total of the 3 records. Received shipping confirmation with a shipping manifest with 2 records on it. Turns out the 3rd was sold out and that the shipping charges were actually more than the cost of the missing record.
I just wish they had let me know before i paid and they shipped.
The story of how it was resolved is for another time, another thread.
They just did this to me.
They sent me a total, I paid, then got an e-mail saying it's actually not in stock and will ship when available. Just now... fuck.
One of the things I hate the most: distros charging for shit they don't have.

thanks everybody, for your input
-
What problems are you having with them?
Placed an order (to Canada) but didn't go through to paypal, instead I got an email just with confirmation of order. I was wondering if they get back to you with total... I'll ask them anyway.
Thanks, just wanted to know they are a functional mailorder.

Hi,
Just wanted to know if anyone here has had good experience shopping at http://store.acousticsounds.com/
I have ordered something but it's a bit weird... Is it one of those stores that get back to you with confirmation of your total with shipping?
Thank you in advance

Pre-paid for this set at my local store - $80 (Canadian). I can't wait to pick it up.

Soooo, I just put up on bandcamp my first ever drone/ambient piece... 51 mins... free download...
please check it out... gonna do a lathe cut on 2x12" soon...
https://palespectre.bandcamp.com/releases
I'm gonna try and post the one I'm working on now by monday...
I like this a lot and I'd be down for 2x12" but I've never had or played a lathe cut.
Anyone ever had one, and how do they sound?
I'm also curious what the material is... acrylic plexi, or actual vinyl discs?
-
No, they usually just carry the regular black vinyl presses. Which is fine, considering it's quite a bit cheaper than ordering ltd. clear from Erased Tapes.

In the US? Only if you're white and they're black. Or so I hear...
