  1. I’ve been ordering from them for around half that time and never had any issues with them before either, but its very telling at least to me when the one time I do, I get one condescending reply and then ignored. I’ll buy their releases secondhand from now on. I guess I can’t place all the blame on them - QC in general has seen a steep decline in the past 3-4 years, about 1/10 (if not more than that) new records I receive are warped. For context I’ve been buying records since 2006 and that number used to be closer to 1/100.
  2. No Sleep is consistently trash and takes months and months to ship anything. Poor customer service experience with Zegema Beach Records (USA store). I received the new Crossed LP from them badly warped (hovering 1/4” off the platter). Emailed them about a replacement and they informed me ”We actually noticed that nearly all of our copies arrived like that “ and “sounds like it plays” and suggested “there is a way to unwarp records but I've never tried it”. So they sent out an entire 300pc run of warped records knowingly instead of having the plant redo it or trying to flatten the records themselves. I offered twice to ship the record for a refund and he stopped responding. DIY = GFY apparently. Gave him 5 days before filing a chargeback.
  3. It does make quite a nice difference. I have a few other records like this, Hail to the Thief comes to mind, new Interpol will have a double 45rpm LP option. I've noticed that records cut at 45 with about 10 or 12 minutes of music on each side always sound really good.
  4. Haha Dave's old number is out of service, I've called the other number on the b-side which is Mike's number before.
  5. I agree, a similar color scheme would be great for this record. Talked to Goose tonight, he said it probably won't come out. I'm guessing this is because Virgil doesn't have the cash to do so. Sad.
  6. Last time I asked Adam about it, which was August 2009, he said that if they did it would be part of a box set with all of their albums. Not sure if that's the case still though.
  7. *bump Wondering if there's any new info on this. Also, Virgil, if funds are an issue keeping this from getting pressed I would be willing to help fund it, or even fund it entirely if VC is no longer interested in pressing the record. Not to be impatient, but it's just very important to me that this record comes out on vinyl. I'm sure everyone here feels that way about a certain record/band.
  8. I'll probably be passing on this, I've already got every non-split record they've released in some form. It does look tempting though. My only problem with Viva Hate is the ridiculous prices (or conversion rates I guess), which applies for mostly all european distributors though.
  9. Still wondering what ever happened with this record. Bump.
  10. Despite buying from VC somewhat frequently, I rarely come on the forums but I had to ask... When is this coming out? I talked to Adam (guitarist) on August 9th and he said that they were supposed to have them in time for that tour but they weren't ready yet and I'm pretty sure it was announced before summer. Also is there any more info on the volume of Under the Influence that they were supposed to be doing? He also said they were talking with Circa Survive about doing the split with them but it's unlikely now because Circa's on Atlantic. Thanks for your time and answers
  11. i would but my camera isn't high enough resolution to actually get close enough and be able to see the lyrics on the jacket You own a Panic At The Diso record. Please shut the fuck up. owned.
  12. I've never posted here but i've bought from Vinyl Collective a few times before. Yesterday I received the Norma Jean vinyl box (set a) and noticed that on the back of the two Bless the Martyr and Kiss the Child LPs that they both have the lyrics to the second LP printed on their jackets. This is a little disappointing as it is missing the lyrics to the entire first disc, but besides that it is very nice and well put-together. In addition, on the back of the actual box in the tracklisting, "Pretty Soon, I Don't Know What, But Something Is Going to Happen" is printed as "Pretty Soon, I Don't Know What, But S".
