I've received a promo copy to review the record for a German internet zine and I'm just drafting my review.

 

From my perspective, the record is great. If you've gone with Thrice all the way from Identiy Crisis to Major/Minor, you'll also dig the new record. If you expect stagnancy or a return to some previous sound, you might be disappointed. But that's what Thrice has always been about, right?!

From "Blood on the sand" to "Black honey" is exactly the diversity the new record has to offer.

Collecting Converge variants is killing me.

With every new release I'm asking myself, whether I should go on or quit...

I hate buying overpriced directly flipped records on ebay. But I need this for the collection and there's no chance to grab the subscription variant regularly...

My second copy arrived on the weekend. Here are now the two variants compared. You can see the hugh difference.

 

 

The KRM color is a let down, in my opionion. I don't complain about not matching the mockup, but I would have expected the same yellow as in the DW variant.

 

Packaging from KRM Europe was also a high risk factor (nothing happened luckily): apparently they didn't have fitting boxes for this format. Instead two regular disposable mailers were wrapped around the box and the two open sides simply sealed with tape...

DW on the other hand was high quality as expected, and super fast overseas with FedEx.

 

Anyway, awesome boxset. So happy, I pulled the trigger last year!

Vinyl is apparently already in stock although release date was scheduled for end of February.

Just got the newsletter from greenhell in Germany.

 

Has anyone gotten their preorder, yet? Or picked it up in a store?

Has anyone gotten their subscription variant and is interested in selling it?

Does anyone know whether NoSleep sends out download codes for vinyl preorders already these days?

I was waiting to place my preorder with them until it becomes available in the European store, but I want to listen to this now!

 

Other question: the Revelation exclusive yellow variant is not up for preorder, yet, isn't it? At least not at revhq...

10 years after their last studio output OC's Ignite actually release their new record "a war against you" via Century Media.

While the song is great, the vinyl is an easy pass for me. High price and just the album track with already released material...

When my band broke up in 2010 we put everything we've ever released on bandcamp. All phyiscal copies are gone, but the download is for free.

That sound is incredible for a hardcore live recording. No overdubs?!?

Footage is also cool; I would love to see more crowd action and not only cuts on the musicians, though.

Why only "almost" complete?

1) The latest press of "that within blood..." on grey vinyl is missing. Easy buy... however, the last distro has sent me a second copy of the maroon 4th press instead...

2) The split with Another Victim comes on kind of a vinyl bong. I know that there is at least a color variation more red/brown than the pink marble I have. But in the end it's 150 unique color variations...

3) The Detroit Fest version of the split with BSF is also available with the other colors; but, hey, I got the flyer and all colors - doesn't matter where I put it on, does it?!

4) No test presses. But I will hopefully never start with those...

...and KRM Europe is out of stock again.

 

Guess they had an initial allocation and are now shifting stock from the US store to the European store, since the EU lot sells out so quick

just think how bad you want it, if you end up paying 200$ on the aftermarket, maybe 165$ isnt that bad. i think youll get better S&H from deathwish though
