Got my shirt + blue copy today in the oversized manilla envelope. It had one piece of cardboard on the onside. Corner and one side of the LP bent a bit but not too bad. Oh well, at least it's here!
Lets see some pics. : ) how's it sound? are the tracks that were left off the original press on? I'm guessing no.

I want this soooo bad, but man this is a crazy price
They are repressing that this year. https://twitter.com/sammeans/status/282741662021738496

What's with all the negativity guys. Who the fuck is Arthur Digby Sellers?

I think it +1's the ATRU vinyl. - David
Awesome, looking forward to this mail day. Keep up the good work David!

It really boils down to a lame answer like 'it's on a case-by-case basis because every record is different.' In fact, that is the lame answer.
The only record that I kept in the shrink is an original 1989 copy of the Beastie Boys' Paul's Boutique, for a few reasons:
-I have the 20th anniversary edition to listen to, and I'm sure that must sound better on 120mm vinyl than the original fresh out of the sleeve.
-The cover is different than the re-release--the photo is more squashed (photo to compare them on my blog: http://bit.ly/W3CT6l )
-What are the odds of finding an unopened copy of such a cratedigger all-time favorite? The shrink wrap makes it more unique; hell, I polybagged it to protect the shrink from getting torn. I don't plan to sell it, but if I ever had to, it would be seriously devalued if I'd opened it.
That said, everything else in my 2,000 records is open and ready/meant to be played.
Except for the Doors—we use that for skeetshootin' (just kidding - why would I waste money on The Doors?)
That squashed cover photo looks awful. I have an original 1989 version myself - the 8 panel gatefold, no squashed cover photo, and boy the artwork is so good you'd be mad to keep it sealed.

Hell yes.
Diggin' the avatar btw.
Thanks.
Btw - I cant actually find this anywhere, on insound it says it's backordered? sold out? it's sold out on UGHH and Ameoba. the best I can find is an ebay copy for 28 dollars.

Thankyou! I totally missed this as well, blinding album, would also like a repress of Psycho-social.

Got a solar lunar copy, sounds so good, plus I have been listening to this a lot and loving it. Worth the price I'd say, and it feels good to support musicians as good as this, especially when they put up there album for free like a month ago.

Damn, I only just found out about this, missed out on the package with all the cool stuff.
-
I really, really, really want, you can play these songs with chords.... but not for $250.
-
I found this in a 10 dollar bin at a record store in belgium, while the cashier chick was ringing it up, the dude who worked there grabbed it off her and said it wasn't for sale any more, I was cut. ahh well, the moral of this story is you should sell me it for 10 to make up for that injustice.

I know it's not exactly what you're looking for, but since no one has suggested anything, this one is a tune. Nod your head and keep looking.

Yeah, paypal is good like that, which is why I had no problem ordering this in the first place, however I would be disappointed if at the end I just got my money back and no record.
Edit - Got an email form Jamie @ crank! just now, confirming my order, he also said they're unsure if endserenading repress is going ahead.

A copy of Jawbreaker's Unfun that I bought a few years ago was hugely miss-cut, half of the first track was gone and I had random jagged melted bits sticking out on the other, was irreparable.

Hi everyone, kinda new on VC, this would be my first actual post, I usually just read.
I have placed an order with them at Crank! 2 days ago, sent two emails and made $20 payment through paypal for the black pressing of POF and still haven't received any kind of confirmation. Kinda anxious about it, but don't wanna clog up their email with more, so looking to vent to people in the same boat? If any of you are?
Cheers,
Tom.

I couldn't agree more, If you don't like it, nobody is forcing you to listen, let alone purchase anything. Some people are just serial antagonists.
