  1. Also, looking for a good copy of the previous EP, "Ruiner" if anyone has either version for sale. Gracias.
  2. http://brutalpandarecords.bandcamp.com/album/clean Clean EP 12" Pressing Info: - 100 Gray Marble - 200 Purple - 500 Black Pre-order includes download of 1 track in your choice of high-quality MP3, FLAC, or other formats. A link to the complete album will be emailed to you the moment it’s released.
  3. If you won't accept "screwing over," will you agree that they are at least "screwing with"? I like the initial version I ordered, and will be happy with it. But it would have been nice to know up front that there would be a splatter variant available, in case I liked that one better. Sort of like the airlines----music labels should learn that it's bad business to "screw with" their most loyal customers.
  4. Ordered via Bandcamp for the digital download. Can't wait to see these guys along with Coliseum in November here in teh ATL. Speaking of---we have a newborn, so I can't get out for shows like before. Let's say you could pick two of these to see live... which would you choose? 11/5: Pelican/Coliseum or CocoRosie 11/7: Television (in Athens) 11/8: Colin Meloy (solo) or Orange Goblin 11/10: High on Fire/Kvelertak
  5. Huh. No bundle with rare vinyl, 15" x 78" scrolling LED sign, & limited release Pelican PEZ dispenser? Something's amiss...
  6. On the bright side, there's a download card in the deluxe 2xLP.

There’s certainly no shortage of fun on their new record, but ‘Whales And Leeches’ sees Red Fang further maturing into top notch songwriters and musicians. With the help of guests Mike Scheidt (Yob) and Pall Jenkins (The Black Heart Procession), ‘Whales And Leeches’ further propels Red Fang into the upper stratosphere of hard rock and metal elite. Red Fang have always been true masters of the hard rock hook and with ‘Whales And Leeches’ they deliver 11 killer, instantly classic anthems.
  8. I have a bunch of random crap signed... no pro skills when it comes to autographs, but I have no qualms about asking for a quick signature if I'm an actual fan of their music. I hope they think it's flattering, as long as I'm not being weird or stalky about it. The earliest is a pizza flyer that Eddie Vedder signed for me way back in '92. I ran into him as they were coming off stage for a sound check in Athens, and kept the autograph stuffed in my Ten CD case forever. Mike Patton signed my CD sleeve for Angel Dust a year or so later, under the same circumstances. A few years later, I met Dave Grohl coming out of the bathroom at LAX. He signed a receipt I had in my pocket, with an arrow pointing to a dribble of urine on it, labeled "pee pee". I also have a ticket stub signed by Mike Ness. I also have a crushed PBR can somewhere signed by Aaron Beam from Red Fang. Oh, and I bought a copy of a Swans CD a couple of years ago used, and found that it had been signed by Michael Gira, which was nifty. The only vinyl I have autographed is a Mastodon "Hunter" LP signed by 3 of the guys, and my prized vinyl "Grinderman 2" signed by both Nick Cave and Warren Ellis. That was probably my biggest starstruck moment, where I probably creeped myself out----but, you know, Nick Cave is a living god.
  9. Please do enter me into the Maniac giveaway. Thankya sir and/or madame!
  10. Sounds like he's using a magic 8 ball reply bot. I wish I had one built into my work Email client.
  11. Thank'ya Sir and/or Madame! And ye, unto me shall Sunbather LP be deliver'd. Yet the wife shall fill once again with woe, once the PayPal Email hath been receiv'd. Penance shall be hers only when the lawn hath been mow'd. Amen.
  12. Eff Pitchfork. I'm buying due to the unleashed hellspawn of caps and awesome. Maybe I'll get the last copy?
  13. Aha. http://theobelisk.net/obelisk/2013/05/29/high-on-fire-spitting-fire-live-albums-coming-june-18/ Bay area titans HIGH ON FIRE will release “Spitting Fire” Volumes 1 & 2 on June 18th, 2013. The track list spans the course of the band’s history with hits like “Fertile Green,” “Frost Hammer” and “10,000 Years.” “Spitting Fire” was recorded live in two marquee New York City venues; The Music Hall Of Williamsburg and The Bowery Ballroom. It was later mixed by Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer Studios in Oakland, CA with additional engineering by Kurt Ballou. Multiple pre-order options are now available including limited edition vinyl bundles and iTunes . High On Fire cannot be defined by their sound on tape alone. “Spitting Fire” is a vivid snapshot of the band’s massive sounding live show, which for fans who have yet to witness, are clearly missing out. Volume 1. 1. Serums Of Liao 2. Frost Hammer 3. 10,000 Years 4. Devolution 5. Last 6. Fertile Green 7. Speedwolf Volume 2. 1. Rumors Of War 2. DII 3. Fury Whip 4. Madness Of An Architect 5. Face Of Oblivion 6. Hung Drawn and Quartered 7. Blood From Zion 8. Snakes For The Divine
  14. Also---no digital download, no recording or pressing information (yet), and no details about the packaging in general. I'd kinda be interested in these before considering a pre-order.
  15. Agreed. I always wait to see what the band has on their merch table before deciding if they are serious musicians. Once I saw that Grinderman was selling tea towels at a show here in Atlanta, I knew that Nick Cave fellow was just a hack.
  16. Black light guides you, Ghuleh. It will also make dandruff glow in the dark. Creepy.
  17. I've done both for RSD. One advantage Criminal has over Decatur CD is the line going through the store is more orderly... you're kind of herded through. So, the earlier you get there, the better (as far as quick selling items are concerned.) When I was at Decatur CD two years ago, I was 3rd or 4th in line. But because the rush to enter the store was so haphazard, it didn't matter. When the doors opened, the first 20 or so people in line just became a giant blob of chaos (for the first 20 minutes or so, anyway.) This year, I'll be in Asheville. I assume I'll go to Harvest Records, but if anyone has a better suggestion, I'm all ears.
  18. Same here. I sent them an Email inquiry yesterday, and got a fairly quick reply: -- Hi, Sorry for the inconvenience that has been caused. I was able to confirm that a link to download the tracks was sent to you via an email. Please check your Junk/Spam to know if it was routed there by mistake. Sincerely, MyPlay Direct -- Unfortunately, no download link was in my spam folder, either. I think they forgot about digital pre-orders. -RD
  19. /bumpthread to turn on your heartlight. Let it shine, wherever you go. OP makes a happy glow, for all the world to see.
  20. I used to handle some production work for a major label about 10 years ago. The lead times they expected were absurd, even for CD's. The best advice I can offer is to delicately explain that as demand is increasing for vinyl (especially short-run variants), lead times are also increasing. I would guess that this isn't an industry that will be quick to expand capacity, due to the capital equipment required & the fact that vinyl is still generally considered a "niche" of the overall market. Citing examples of other delayed releases is one way to justify things----but I'd also back it up by citing increased demand across the board: http://www.scribd.com/doc/118975417/THE-NIELSEN-COMPANY-BILLBOARD%E2%80%99S-2012-MUSIC-INDUSTRY-REPORT According to The Nielsen Company & Billboard's 2012 Music Industry Report: "For the fifth consecutive year, more vinyl albums were purchased than any other year in the history of Nielsen SoundScan." "In 2012, vinyl album sales reached 4.6 million in sales, breaking the previous record of 3.9 million LP album sales in 2011." "67% of all vinyl albums were purchased at an independent music store during 2012." "Vinyl album sales in 2012 were up 19% compared to 2011 and accounted for 1.4% of all album sales and 2.3% of all physical album sales."
  21. Like manna from heaven. Someone should invent a tater tot colored vinyl, that gives off the scent of fresh tots and clove cigarettes when played. It would provide the sensory experience of every bar in the 90's.
  22. I can think of very few things better than a free record. Finding an onion ring mixed in with your regular french fries is close... but not equal.
  23. I dunno. But I just got the Email about upgrading my order yesterday.
