Oh, I was unaware it was supposed to look like a bootleg. It does sound great and I'm so glad it was released, it just was not what I was expecting package wise.

I found this video and tried this method with some old records just to make sure it worked. It works wonderfully. I have gotten old used records that were covered in dirt and dust and once I cleaned them, they didn't even crackle when played. I've also used it on newer records that I've played a lot and have gotten dusty, etc. Some skipped in certain places and after cleaning them like this they play flawlessly. I do the entire process in my kitchen so I'm not moving them from there to elsewhere like in the video. Very simple process.

This is only S1D stuff, You Got Lucky and the Hold You Up are on Mercury. And Jeff from El Jefe Design recently said he wished the printing he did on that 10" was better, for some reason he had the wrong size template. As for the awful plastic jacket, yeah, they could have done so much better. But last RSDBF I got a live Joe Strummer LP and the packaging was actually worse, just a piece of printer paper as the 'cover' in a plastic sleeve.

Sounds like mostly the more common A-sides and not the rarer B-sides will be on this so, for me anyway, I don't think it can replace the box set. But hey, there is probably someone wanting the blood red box so if you're not using it and will be satisfied with the LP then you can probably make someone else happy with it.

Considering how everyone really wants either previously unreleased or somewhat hard to find songs to be on this, it would actually be really nice if we could get an LP with rare stuff on it instead of acoustic versions of songs which many people already have. But CoffeexZombie, if I were you I'd just get a copy of the Hold You Up EP. So worth having.

Oh yeah, I liked this interview. But this was long enough ago that I want to assume the B sides album idea turned into the box set. But I'm totally down for having this on an LP as well. Anything Gaslight and I'm gonna want it.

Right there with you on this. I wish they'd just press the entire iTunes session. It's so good! Plus Our Father's Sons is such a great track yet hardly anyone knows it because it's only on the iTunes session and there's a 2008 demo of it for some compilation album. But if someone bootlegged a festival performance from 2008 then I'm sure someone can figure out how to do it with this, right?

So this is basically an LP of all the 7" singles for people who didn't way to pay for/couldn't afford the box set? A bit weird but also kinda cool so I won't have to stand there flipping 7"s constantly.
