  1. Totally unrelated but I'm really surprised how unpopular KP is in comparison to Neck Deep. A quick Facebook like check puts ND at almost a 100k. KP is only at 13k.

I really don't understand how pop punk fans decide what is going to popular and what is not. The smaller but better bands like KP, Light Years, Stickup Kid get overshadowed way too much.

Neck Deep spawned a lot of early comparisons to TSSF(personally I don't hear this). That'll do some things for you. And now they're on a  roster with TBS/TWY/The Used.

As for Knuckle Puck, I think their rise is happening slower and more organically. Facebook likes don't say much about quality of music.

Their tour with Neck Deep and this quick-selling vinyl release will move them closer to the forefront.

  2. we thought to ourselves if this did well we'd move back to that one - needless to say, this did well. haha.

I was surprised this release wasn't both EP's together. Like what ND did with Rain In July/A History of Bad Decisions.

IMO it's nicer to have things separately though, like you plan to do. Each release is a picture of a band from a different time and should be treated as such.

  3. Got green AWK, white Riot, black BNE, black/boxset Paramore. BNE 7" box set, Singles Club, RSD '13. Also got a /350 "Hands Up" screenprinted poster. Small but ever growing. I want to grab a red AWK next.

    Nice! The essentials.

Singles club box set and BFRSD '13 releases are two i'm really glad I was able to grab before they sold out. Would not and could not pay the aftermarket prices for those.

  4. I believe when the deal to sell off the back catalog went through, Tooth and Nail only retained the rights for Underoath, August Burns Red, and Demon Hunter.  There might have been something else random in there like Anberlin or something, but I can't remember.

T&N retained repressing/reissue rights only for August Burns Red and Demon Hunter.  The rest are with EMI Capitol.

That's interesting. Where'd you guys hear that info?

  6. My local store, Attic records is doing mail order on their remaining stock and they have a bunch if stuff. Was just there and saw multiple Gambino, 311, Notorious BIG, August burns red, Frightened Rabbit, Outkast, Soundgarden, Death Waltz Releases. Tons more, too much to name.

    Phone number is 412-821-8484. Boom.

  7. I'm probably kicking up something that doesn't need to be but I noticed on the back of the August Burns Red "Thrill Seeker" RSD vinyl, it mentions that it was distributed by RED distribution which is who T&N/SS are currently using for their new stuff. Shouldn't it say EMI Capitol Christian Music Group? Just wondering if maybe T&N/SS managed to keep the rights to past albums for vinyl pressing only. Just a theory. Probably nothing.

I checked the back of the record right away for the same reason. You might be onto something, unfortunately I wouldn't know who to ask for confirmation on this sorta thing

  8. The setting for this performance was a lot different from anything else they've done, too, so it's kind of a different atmosphere all around.  I had goosebumps the entire show when I saw them in NYC.

Yep, I thought the orchestra was the difference hearing this.

Would be super sweet to see in person, but as a live LP it didn't do much for me.
