  1. What the hell happened to spiderman? I'm only just starting to get back into comics because of world war hulk. To get back on topic, my mailman is pissing me off. I think we have this new guy that's replacing the cute lady who used to do it. Bastard's walked by our house the past week solid and I'm beginning to think something's up as I'm waiting on records and a phone bill.
  2. I don't know how I feel about the whole band tattoo thing. I mean, it kinda seems like a bad idea because who knows what could happen or how you'll feel about them in the future. Although, if I could figure out something that would represent the Eels' Electro-Shock Blues album, I'd be all over it. I'll stick with lyrics, myself. I'm trying to figure out how to incorporate "Born to lose and destined to fail" on something because Social D's Ball and Chain is my fucking theme song.
  3. Rorschah Records has the Brainworms/Catalyst Split 7" now available on three different colors, including a grey that is only available through their online store. Fast Crowd Records has an offer going on until September 30th wherein every order $20 or more will recieve a free copy of Tiltwheel's "Heavens Declare the Glory of the Bomb" original 7" with new cover art. I believe Los Diaper Records is still looking for submissions to their baseball themed 12" comp. More info is available on their myspace. From poppunkbored.com: "up for pre order is the vinyl of In the Red's-Vol.1 on vinyl and initial orders will receive super sexy colured splattered or whatever the hell we do with it vinyl, check out the band at www.myspace.com/intherredrock and at www.ratpatrolrecs.com Cheers!"
  4. Goldfinger - Radio (off the Fuck Ted Nugent 7") Rancid - Radio (Not the same as Goldfinger's) Buck-0-Nine - What Happened to my radio? Roger Miret & The Disasters - Radio, Radio (not an Elvis Costello cover) The Modern Lovers - Roadrunner (my fave song ever. EVER!) I KNOW I've got one more because I've been planning the same kind of thing if I can manage to get myself back on the radio but I can't remember for the life of me what song it is.
  5. Looks like it would make good breakfast food the next morning.
  6. The only song I ever heard by Wax was the one they made the "guy on fire" video for, which is a decent song and an awesome video.
  7. This is wonderful news! May I will get to work on writing another review over there now.
  8. A little lean on the release information this week, but that's understandable. But the interview was great!
  9. The Badgers! I really should get down to Madison for a game this year. They know how to party down there.
  10. Exactly. I do give him props, though, for organizing autobiographically. From time to time, I'll consider trying it, but there's no way I could do it. it would be a huge headache to accomplish and It would mean that I wouldn't be able to find anything very easily. But yeah, great movie. I watch it every year on Valentine's day, along with a bunch of other Cusack flicks, while drinking heavily.
  11. This is such an awesome idea, I'd love to get in on it but I don't know what I'd contribute to the box. Every sticker or whatever I get from an order gets thrown on something. My speakers look awesome because of it and I've begun work on stickering my laundry basket, which is coming along nicely. I'll have a look when I get home from school tonight to see if I can contribute to the box.
  12. I didn't start drinking alcohol until I was 22, which is a exceptionally uncommon considering I live in Wisconsin. I've made up for being a late bloomer, if you will, by drinking copiously since then. my favorite beer is Murphy's Irish Stout. There used to be a place here that had it on tap, but I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who drank it, so they've gotten rid of it in favor of something else, likely some light beer.
  13. Mine came with the same springman sampler cd and a picture drawn in crayons asking me to become someone's myspace friend. Interpunk tends to not get colored vinyl. I ordered Drag The River's Esta Loco from there before realizing the awesomeness of Vinyl Collective and it came on black. Major letdown. But I think this Big D album is all 1,000 on black and white(one black record, one white), so you should have nothing to worry about.
  14. Thanks for all the replies, everyone. It looks like I've got a few to kick over this weekend while in Milwaukee seeing Mischief Brew. I'd be pretty geeked if Marvel made one with the Incredible Hulk. Unfortunately, Spiderman's not my guy.
  15. Does anyone know where to get a nifty looking slipmat? I've looked all over an no one sells anything besides of the ones that say Technics and, as much as I'd like one like the one they had at the radio station I used to work at, I don't have a Technics turntable. I know Swami's got one, but does anyone know of anyone else?
  16. I bought one of the three shelf ones today at Target since there's no Ikea anywhere near northeastern Wisconsin. It seems to be sturdy enough to hold vinyl but you can only reposition the top shelf and any way you do it, only the top shelf can fit 12"s, the bottom holds 10"s and the middle should be able to do everything under 10". I only got to the middle of "S" on my alphabetized 12"s. I probably have around 200 12"s in my collection, so I guess you can go from there.
