I’ve listened to this a few times now and it’s just not doing a whole lot for me.  I thought Child Soldier was great, granted I prefer his synthwave/pop styled songs.  This is predominantly a hard rock record, but it just isn’t exciting me.

Same.  Loved Child Soldier.  All Waves to Nothing is excellent though.

When we saw them, Korn, Rammstein, Ice Cube, and Orgy at the 98 Family Values date in Detroit we got there VERY early (a three hour plus drive was not something we wanted to leave up to chance driving through what can be unpredictable constriction all the way across the state). Fred was messing around on a scooter in the lot pre-show and people were just hanging out shooting the shit with him. Some girl was trying to hang on him with electrical tape on her nipples, but he wasn't giving her the attention she was after so she sulked away. Some kid asked him to sign his ticket "Fred Is God" and he said "can I sign it "Fred's a Fag?". Not exactly PC, but I came away from the whole experience thinking he was a pretty cool down to earth dude despite how huge they were at the time. I don't think I ever bothered much with anything post-Significant Other, but that was such a fun night despite the fact that my tastes couldn't be more different now. Wish we'd have gotten one of the Incubus dates later in the tour, but at least I got to see them before it all went to shit with SOAD and Mr. Bungle a couple years later.

Brings back memories.  I had a similar experience for FV 98 Pittsburgh waiting in line for the floor with Fred just riding a scooter, came right up to us, started BSing, super chill.

There WAS going to be a nice Classic Records 200 gram re-issue of Ænima right around 2000, but the company went out of business. 😣

    Some test pressings were made:

I bought this a few years back and end up selling it for the same price.  Kept it sealed and never listened.   It was originally listed as only 20 existed, but I've seen these come up too frequently and made me suspicious.
