  1. I'm just glad that people like me who have yearned for this album for years will get their chance to own it on wax. It made my day, hopefully it makes all of yours too!!!!
  2. I wasn't trying to insinuate that SSD was the only online distributor of gold. I was just stating this was the only retailer I was aware of at the time that had it, and they sold out. Granted, I knew it was one of those situations where you scour the web enough you could get your hands on a gold variant but I'm just glad to have ANY copy, having a limited edition color variant is just the icing on the cake for me.
  3. I woke up to an email about this, guess I was too late for the "gold" edition. To be honest, I've wanted this album for so long it could have been pressed on any color for all I care. I decided to go for the silver since it was between that and black, I don't flip or even like the thought of selling my vinyl but I won't lie and claim I don't want a more limited color variant. Just happy to have this on wax come May!
  4. Palms - S/T (Clear) pre-order Pink Floyd - Echoes Box Set Stone Temple Pilots - Purple (Purple) pre-order Sigur Ros - Agaetis Byrjun Minus the Bear - Planet of Ice (Grey) Queens of the Stone Age - Lullabies to Paralyze (Orange/Purple)
  5. The price is a bit inflated but Turntable Lab has two copies of Sigur Ros left from RSD for sale, if anyone was looking.
  6. http://www.1234gorecords.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=67&products_id=6763 http://store.cinderblock.com/give-up-3lp-deluxe-set.html Those are the Postal Service links I've seen lately. I grabbed a copy at my store on RSD because the ever helpful owner said that while they were still out there if you looked around, they won't be abundantly available. Like the last poster stated about the other releases, this will probably be the cheapest you're going to find. Unfortunately, the shipping rates are terrible too.
  7. Thought I might have a trade but haven't heard much back in the last day, so I guess I'm still on the hunt, if anyone is on the lookout for this. I also broke down and bought the last copy of The Cure-Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me RSD release in my neck of the woods. I planned on keeping the Cure for my own personal collection but I'd be willing to part with it for the right trade. I don't feel strongly compelled to part with either albums but I'd be willing to look through lists for trades. Not looking for anything in particular at the moment but I wouldn't mind finding a copy of the White Stripes-Elephant (RSD). Keeping an open mind….
  8. I wasn't really sure how to label this thread, so if it is indeed a bit misleading I apologize in advance. Was wondering if anyone out there was looking for RSD releases from these artists: The Cure, Botch, Cave In, Codeine, and Golden Gunn. I went to record stores in two different towns over two hours apart from each other. The first one sold out of all their stock regarding these artists on RSD. The shops in the town I live in still had these releases left as of this afternoon. I'm still on the fence regarding picking up one or two of these releases for myself, although none of them are anything I can't live without. Aside from Cave In, which has 3 copies left, all the others are down to a lone copy. Was wondering if anyone was on the lookout for any of these titles? If I do indeed pick up copies it would most likely be something I would trade or just keep for my personal collection. Just throwing that out there and was wondering if there was any interest, maybe one of these things is something you really want?
  9. I've tried to message those that have contacted me……..
  10. Thanks for all the messages folks, I was surprised by the responses. I'm in the process of looking at lists and figuring out if there is anything people will part with that we could match value wise. I also understand that some of your collections are off limits and rightfully so. I don't plan on dragging this out, I'll keep everyone updated throughout the course of the day tomorrow. I wish I had a copy for everyone, I'll keep in touch and hopefully figure something out at some point during the day. Thanks again!
  11. Looking through lists, not in any hurry to make a decision tonight, I'll get back to everyone tomorrow.
  12. I definitely want Sigur Ros but I'm fairly certain that aside from about 1000 lucky folks, most everyone else is too. I'll look through that list.

  14. Sorry if that is a vague answer. I'm trying not to ask for anything that is too expensive. ATDI cost me around 37.00 with tax and I figure shipping costs will be at LEAST 8.00 if not 5.00 or 10.00 more. I tried putting a good number of things that I want on my list but its hard to remember all the albums you like, that's why I'm open to looking at people's trade lists.
  15. Mostly things in my want list. However, I'm sure there is a bunch of stuff that isn't on there I would gladly accept. Do you have a list I could look through?
  16. I have a copy of At The Drive In I don't mind getting rid of. I found a single copy at my local store today and figured I'd grab it. I had seen a lot of people talking about it on here and I had a few friends that I thought might have missed out. I don't mind parting ways with it because I have an original pressing that is in mint condition. I'm not looking to flip/sell the copy. I would like to trade for something on my want list, I realize that a lot of the things on my list hold a lot of value so I'm not trying to insult anyone's intelligence and ask for something worth hundreds of dollars. I'm sure there are also things that I would like that I forgot to put on my want list so feel free to message me and I'll look through anyone's list that is willing to trade. I'm probably looking for certain vinyl and if I don't find anything that pulls at my heart strings I have no problems holding on to this record for a bit. Thanks!
  17. They have a copy of At The Drive In....
  18. Yeah, no worries I'll get back to you tomorrow, and I totally agree with the other poster. I definitely snoozed. I'm a bit frugal and had already bought copies of Blind Melon, Built to Spill, Porno For Pyros, and Between the Buried and Me. I figured my account was taking a beating that day and I would at least have a day to make a wise decision. I had the good fortune of finding a copy of Beck-Sea Change a week after Black Friday RSD last year. The good fortune definitely jaded my better judgement regarding vinyl availability.
  19. I went to 3 record stores on RSD, I made the mistake of not picking up the White Stripes at any of them thinking that 50 copies between the three would last a few days, guess not. I did see a copy of ATDI available at one late Saturday night after most folks had been through. The specific store isn't open Sun-Tues so nothing has been sold since Sat evening. That being said, it could have been out the door after I left. I'm going in tomorrow morning to look through some stuff but I'll let you know if I run across it.
  20. I don't have one but I know one of my local stores had two copies left around 6 on Sat. The store is a really small venture and I'm not even sure if they do phone orders. However, it didn't look like people were racing to buy them. Couldn't hurt to give them a call and try your luck. Notes and Noises (316) 303-9068. Putting this up there to help drum up business and keep our stores open since the vinyl craze hasn't really hit this part of the state just yet.
  21. Check out Looney Tunes, I've never used the website but it was listed on Modern Vinyl as one of the record stores that was selling RSD titles that were still available. Looks like they still have Porno For Pyros, the tie dye US version is sold out but they still have the Blue version that was sold in the UK. Not sure if this helps/was what you were looking for but its something you might want to look into if you want the record regardless of color.
  22. Oh and my local record store Spektrum Muzik had a copy of Cave In left when I went in around 4 on Saturday. I'm not sure if they still have it since they stayed open fairly late for RSD but apparently most folks had been in early in the day. They aren't open Sun-Tues so you might want to check that out. I'll be in on Wed to look through things like I usually do on a weekly basis, I'll see if any are still around.
  23. Brand spankin new member here but I've been following this site for a long time. I saw your post and thought to myself that these are a few titles I was looking for as well. Apparently Bridge Nine is selling 500 copies of a pretty cool color variant of NFG starting tomorrow. I don't think it's the RSD variant but the copy in the picture has some really cool color to it. Figured I throw that out there. Cheers.
