  1. I think you misspoke. What you probably mean is that he's an emotional player. By that I mean the same way that Dez Bryant is. People complain all the time that Dez is a diva, a whiner, etc. But if you took 5 minutes to look into something instead of believing whatever garbage some media outlet, or random "fan" thinks. You'd find that in both of those particular cases those players are the emotional leaders of their teams, they actually care about their team and the game they're playing and give more to it than 99% of other players. Steve Smith in particular has a huge attitude. That doesn't make him a whiner. Just that if you piss him off, he has no problem letting you know. I'd love for him to play on my team is all I'm saying.
  2. Yeah that looks clearly (to me) like a QB wristband with plays and whatnot on it. I think most anyone that has played a skill position from 6th grade up has probably seen one. Looked like he was just running his finger across it looking at a particular play call.
  3. Enough of this week 3 garbage though, who is ready for some Weeden Vs McCown action?! Sunday Night Football!
  4. Pats look pretty good, but so do a few other teams. Honestly, nothing really matters till December in this league. The Giants of '07 have proven that all you gotta do is make it to the playoffs. But as of week 3, the Pats, Cardinals, and Packers are probably my leading 3 according to the eye test. Also, to say that the Pats had won the Bills game long before the whistle is way off. They had a minute to drive down the field only one possession down. To try and say that was only because the Pats didn't run out the clock would probably be accurate for any other team, but that is how they play every game. The Bills were in the game still because their defense played well forcing a fumble and capitalizing on that, then holding the Pats to a field goal late. Don't get me wrong, their offense has been really good, deserving of 3-0. But they haven't blown anyone out until this week. I would agree with you that it is probably due to their aggressive play style, constantly trying to pat on the stats imo, but if that's just part of their game plan, you can't fault other teams for coming back late.
  5. Yeah the only positive is that the rest of the division either hasn't won a game or is Washington. It is most likely going to be a tight race, The NFC East this year is probably going to be the NFC South from last year. Just hope the Cowboys can keep it around 50/50 win/loss. Like you said, I think the team that wins 9, maybe 10 or so will most likely win it.
  6. Dallas is undefeated. 2-0 in the division. And it looks like the season is probably over at least for the foreseeable future. Oh the irony.
  7. The Chiefs tried to run it at the end of the second half, but Charles fumbled. In the first half though, the aggressive play did bite them. Happy to see Peyton get a win. He is the only QB other than Romo that I see getting 3 TDs in a game and people still want to talk like his career is already over. I understand he's old and toward the end, but when people call a year where he has 39 TDs a "down" year I'm not counting the guy out till he's off a roster.
  8. Man that Dallas win was rough, gotta knock the rust off if they expect to win the division. It was a good win but it sucks that Dez will be out 4-6 weeks with a broken bone in his foot.
  9. I've literally been thinking this for the last half hour. FOr some reason I refused to believe that the Bill's offense would do anything this year...
  10. Like I said, someone was going to give him a shot. Whether or not it is a "good move" will remain to be seen, basically whether or not he can clean himself up.
  11. I'm not sure who is applauding this, but generally once a high talent guy has overstayed his welcome somewhere and is still physically able to play someone else will give them a shot. In all likelihood he will be suspended to some extent. I'd still say the 49ers made the right move no matter what, the guy is a mess.
  12. Just to clarify, I am a Cowboys fan. I just think it's funny when people talk about the quality of a team's opponent like they had a choice on who they played.
  13. 10 wins against "bad" teams in the NFL is 10 wins. I'll take an 11 win season any way I can get it. In the NFL there's no room to be picky haha. But yeah I think losing Suh would be big for any team, should be a competitive division this year.
  14. According to the schedule of infractions and fines the penalty for "Foreign Substances on Body/Uniform" is a minimum fine of $8,681 for a player's first offense. It's stated that "Suspension or fine; severity to be determined by degree of violation ". And that "These minimums will increase at a rate of 5% annually throughout the duration of the current CBA". More or less, there doesn't appear to be a ceiling on the potential fine/suspension possible. They seem to have the leeway for a "case by case" approach.
  15. The site states that it is run by John Dowd, a lawyer who is the author of the report responsible for banning Pete Rose apparently. Regardless, at this point the entire Deflategate investigation handling is irrelevant as the current court case has nothing to do with PSI levels in the balls. The question now is, did Goodell over step his power? It's going to be interesting, it seems the judge wants them to work out a deal based on his initial questioning. However, I don't see any sort of deal being made without Brady admitting to some level of guilt. If he isn't willing to do so, then I doubt the league will be willing to budge.
  16. I.K. Enemkpali was released following the altercation. Wow lol. I've never heard of anything remotely close to this happening to any team's higher profile players, especially QB. I think the funniest part of the entire situation is that most of the media outlets are saying the same thing, that Fitzpatrick might have been the safer start anyway.
  17. After watching Fantastic Four and thinking about it, visually it was a fine movie. I'm still not sure how to feel about the way Thing looked, I think the CGI could have been better but that was the least of the movie's concerns. Honestly, it had a lot of potential, I actually really liked the cast a lot and I liked the plot overall (what I mean is I like the premise, but it was a shell of a plot in reality and poorly developed). At the end of the movie it felt like I missed about a half hour of information every so often. I don't think I described that very well, but it basically felt like a hack job, and could have been a lot better. The movie was like 90mins, should have been at least an hour longer in total, with more development throughout. It almost felt like I watched the sparknotes version of the movie lol. I'm curious as to if they will press on with the sequel anyway for the sake of the "Universe" they are trying to create.
  18. I agree that I'd support the band with everything they do. I have paid for the Creature Club things, every release and VIP I could because I really appreciate everything they've done as a band, musically and otherwise. And lame or not, I've done VIP on both of their tours so far where they offered it and would say it's well worth it. Throwing in a vinyl variant this time for the same price was a no-brainer. Also, I'm not sure how the discussion more or less stating the preference of a meet&greet over a Q&A in any way suggests that anyone is entitled... Just that they prefer one type of interaction over another.
  19. Yeah $40 a year was pretty amazing. The first wave of shows with Creature Club was great, literally 8-10 people each show. Toward the end they got more crowded, maybe 20-30 but still not nearly as much as the VIP stuff. Creature Club wouldn't work today though because there'd be way too many people. If so many people are willing to pay $80 per show for VIP now, Creature Club would be half the audience now haha.
  20. I really agree. Anthony said that they're doing it to to have a more quality interaction... Doesn't make sense to me but oh well. I could totally see them hanging out a bit after the acoustic show if they end earlier than expected.
  21. Yeah I was thinking either 1,200 or 1,500. They could go all out and press 2,500 like the other variants haha. I've only seen 40-50 people at each VIP show so far though.
  22. The press release did state "A limited amount of VIP tickets are available per show that include a ticket, single LP with limited screenprinted cover, wall flag, Q&A session and an intimate acoustic set, and more." How "Limited" it actually is? No idea. I assume however many they press of the record? But yeah, a lot more than 10 per show haha. Makes me wonder how many are going to be pressed. And what will happen to any excess if the VIPs aren't sold out. I'd be curious to see if Merch Now sells any extras when the VIP ones are shipped. Someone might get a good deal on the screenprinted variant if they decide to do that lol.
  23. Yeah I just got this email as well, it definitely is a bummer. I suppose the pack is worth it regardless due to the vinyl, acoustic show, and getting into the venue early. However, I always looked forward to getting a jacket signed during these things. Also, I really doubt that they will use the full hour and a half. During both of their last tours they came out and got the fans about 20 mins to a half hour late each show I went to, then the acoustic show was maybe 20 mins, and after that was the meet and greet which lasted maybe 40 minutes for everyone to get through. After that they just let people go take things out to their cars and/or wait for the doors to open inside. Basically, I doubt they'll start the VIP thing on time, as they haven't for either VIP or Creature Club thing I've been to over the years. And there is no way that the acoustic show lasts an hour, last couple tours they played 4ish songs. I think if they start it late, they'll do Q&A then the acoustic show and be done within an hour. Kinda a bummer but it will be worth it regardless. Just surprised that they got rid of the meet & greet aspect to it.
