Know a guy that used to be in this band. They are fucking terrible. Also, not really into the whole christian metal shit either. So, i'm probably not the target market. Probably just shouldn't have came in this thread.

Just seems like they are making a conserved effort to piss off their fan base at each & every turn.

It is a load of crap but I'm beginning to doubt very seriously that the band has much to do with the club at this point. From the beginning it was a separate staff working on the club and the band has hardly mentioned the club. Either way, it's crappy to release more colors of an exclusive thing. 

I never renewed. I had a member number of 50 something but its not like that would ever matter with this band.

The club was thrown together in 2012 so fans could get tickets before scalpers had the chance. They threw in some cool stuff and for some people it's worth it. They're working out all the kinks for this second year. And Gaslight shows don't have seating charts, they're not arenas, so your member number doesn't affect what tickets you can get. If you don't like the club then leave it be. 

why should it? Because they copied Pearl Jam's fanclub so blatantly that they probably left the words "Pearl Jam" in their mission statement somewhere. In that club your member number benefits you. The lower the better. It could be the difference between 2nd row or 80th row. In Gaslight's it will never matter.

I have a ton of El Jefe Design posters (The Gaslight Anthem, Dave Hause, etc) and the older ones are 19x25 which made it hard to find frames. IKEA has several series of frames that are slightly larger (inner dimensions of 19.75x25 which gives room for a nice border/background. They're affordable as well. The cheapest ones are horrid but the next ones up are great and look nice up on the wall. 
 
As for show or promo posters that are 11x17, Walmart makes some good ones with real glass. The ones from Michael's were twice the price and very cheap plastic. 
 

 

 

Sounds like mostly the more common A-sides and not the rarer B-sides will be on this so, for me anyway, I don't think it can replace the box set. But hey, there is probably someone wanting the blood red box so if you're not using it and will be satisfied with the LP then you can probably make someone else happy with it.

Considering how everyone really wants either previously unreleased or somewhat hard to find songs to be on this, it would actually be really nice if we could get an LP with rare stuff on it instead of acoustic versions of songs which many people already have. But CoffeexZombie, if I were you I'd just get a copy of the Hold You Up EP. So worth having. 

Like the singles box set, this is SideOneDummy cashing in on their remaining Gaslight properties. Makes good business sense.

Right there with you on this. I wish they'd just press the entire iTunes session. It's so good! Plus Our Father's Sons is such a great track yet hardly anyone knows it because it's only on the iTunes session and there's a 2008 demo of it for some compilation album. But if someone bootlegged a festival performance from 2008 then I'm sure someone can figure out how to do it with this, right?

I'd also like to see a pressing of AILD's The Powerless Rise that isn't a picture disc and comes in its own nice jacket instead of the box set. And a repress of The Replacements' first two albums wouldn't hurt either.

The other 3 albums as well as some EP's and whatnot have all been repressed so hopefully 24 Hour is next? I really hope so.

Bravo on your Gaslight collection. Hope someone has these for you. I'd like SATQ on orange as well.
