I'm trying to remember it! It was definitely a strange nightmare of some sort. I remember being lost in the woods and weird things were happening. If I actually recall anything other than getting a credit card in that dream, I'll let ya know.

edit....but if a man suggesting to a woman that changing her picture in her profile to ward off creepy messages is "incredibly offensive" and warrants this kind of backlash than i hope something REAL happens in the world so yall can get some perspective.

I have another weird middle of the day shift today. It's better than closing, but I'd still rather early shifts that let me have my day.

 

However! I had a dream last night about opening up a new credit card with a 0% opening rate, so that I could comfortably pay my credit cards (some other weird things happened in that dream but we won't bring that up). Anyway, I woke up and did that because it's actually a really smart idea that would make me a lot less stressed out and put me in a better position. I can transfer balances for my two credit cards that have high interest rates and then focus on paying off my main credit card, instead of splitting paychecks three ways. Once that credit card is payed off (hopefully in a month), I can split my paychecks between the new card and my savings account.

 

Kinda tired of being uncomfortable financially and this will make a huge difference, while getting me in a good spot to comfortably move and such.

Really, I wouldn't be so bad off if I didn't have to take on a student loan. But that really set me back since I can't defer it.

I may be missing something but I feel like most of the men in here are feeling the same way. There are a number of dumb posts making jokes but a lot of others wondering what his reasoning for specifically wanting a woman writer is.

 

Okay, yes. There ARE men who are questioning this as well.

However, it's the women who were the subject of the situation and also the ones that comments were being made toward.

 

When we say "women should be respected" it does not imply that men should not be respected. Us establishing that we are offended, does not take away that men can also be offended by this BUT men are not the "victims" here (for lack of a better term).

WHY are a handful of men getting defensive in this thread? Women were curious as to why this was gender specific, voiced that it was strange and uncomfortable, that we do not enjoy being treated any different because we're all just people with a love for the same hobby. We treat records the same as men because believe it or not...there aren't rules on how to collect records based on gender.

Yet, as we all should have expected, unnessecary comments are being made like everyone else is offended that we're offended. Seriously?

Had I quoted the post telling Madie to take less sexy selfies and said "wait, I don't get it? Why is this funny?" Would you be able to explain it without being completely offensive? No.

If you insult someone, expect insults back. That's just the way the world works. I wouldn't take it personally, because you are definitely none of those things. 

 

I'm not at all affected or sad by what was said. If anything it was really funny. I was really pointing out this:

because they made one comment about something that obviously they have no knowledge about (and while tone is hard to read through text, it was very obviously a joke). So for one insult, the guy decided to rip into me for four separate things. Absolutely expect insults back, but I just thought it was hilarious that in order to validate himself he had to tear into me SIGNIFICANTLY more than what was said to him.

Also, I need to start mailing work my retail and alcohol bills because I'm legitimately buying my happiness anymore.
Its really THAT bad and I'm searching for new jobs while hoping they'll put me out of my misery so I can at least collect.

(The worst is that I'm spending more than I'm making and continuously just digging myself a grave. So I realize it, that it's destructive and not going to make my situation better...but I'm still doing it.)

Pulled the trigger and ordered from Bullmoose because they never let me down and all that good stuff.

Also, not being charged until ship rules because I'm so dirt poor right now.

I have to leave already work calls.

 

I was just filling out an application to be an assistant manager at Hot Topic because adulting.

Side note, whenever I walk in there, the employees will say "hey, it's the vinyl guy" every time without fail.
