  1. I agree. I thought the mix sounded kinda wacky to me too. When I first put it on, "Ever So Sweet" sounded great, but as soon as it went into "Something That Produces Results" I noticed right away it lacked the punch I expected when it transitions into the song. Everything after that was very subdued. At least I know I'm not the only one who noticed that.

Still, glad to have this and not pay $100 for it, ha!

    Yep same thing I experienced.

  2. This sounds so much better than the OG... But does anyone feel it's a bit quite? Not that it ruins anything because of that fact, but I'm also really drunk and the Cleveland show isn't funny

Absolutely. I was really happy with the packaging when i opened it. Better than most. However when i put it on I noticed the record sounded weird. His vocals are very noticeable however everything else does seem quiet. On the cd the guitars growl and the bass is....well there an everything seems mixed well. With this pressing everything else seems subdued and choked.

Its not the worst ive heard but im definitely not pleased with it especially for what I paid for it. Whoever mastered and also the person who cut it fucked up for allowing it to sound like this. Im so sick im spending money on new pressings only to be disappointed.

Cant imagine how bad the first one is lol. I might hit up rise records and see what they have to say.

  3. Just wondering what colors you guys have that are showing up? Just the clear green and blue ones that really are just green and blue to me?The way they worded it the majority of the record should have been clear with blue and green radiating out from the center. I got the white and green and im expecting it to look like the one the band posted on instagram just with a green center not blue.

But most importantly I cant wait to hear it. Something it seems most people here put second. I have a great system I hope this thing sounds decent. Anyone want to chime in other than saying it just sounds good?

  4. I totally scored on this sale! Ended up getting 11 records!

Kid Cudi "Man on the Moon: The End of Day"

    Pixies "Bossanova" and "Doolittle"

    Cloud Nothings "Attack on memory"

    Best Coast "Crazy for you"

    Crystal Castles "II"

    Brand New "Daisy"

    Wavves "King of the Beach"

    M83 "Saturdays=Youth"

Incubus "A crow left of the murder"

    Das Racist "Relax"

All for $149 including shipping! Not fucking bad at all for 11 records.

  5. ordered purple version, it will sell out soon.  com truise's vinyl are always sold out quickly, especially colored limited.  already added this submission to discogs.   :P

i have both versions of galactic melt, they are both beautiful.

also, my friend is getting me cyanide sisters for christmas - that vinyl has a beautiful blue.

I wish i had cyanide sisters so bad. Last i checked it was kinda expensive.

    Also Zachindes,

The first press was black with red artwork. The repress was orange vinyl with black artwork.

  6. So according to Banquet, the clear copies are definitely a US import (meaning they were pressed here in the US) into the UK. So why the $40 (now a sneaky $70) price tag SRC?

When I bought my original TCR copy I had to pay postage to Australia from the US, it cost me $25 ppd.

Clearly SRC, and obviously many other record stores are trying to get in on the flipping game and that's ridiculous. People need to stand up against this kind of bullshit. Do not be this guy >>

You're the reason collecting is getting so expensive.

What are you talking about? I didnt end up buying from banquet because $80 for a different color is a bad investment. So please explain how im "the reason colleting is getting so expensive?"

I dont set the prices from flippers or shady distros. I also dont support it and buy from anyone seller unless the price is reasonable. Why dont you track down the 100 people that did buy it or the 5 or more people that have claimed on this board that they did buy it.

How is it your business anyway with what people do with their money? Its not like when this album came out it was so expensive. Some people even got the red I believe for $36. If you didnt get the chance to buy one then too bad. If you want it then yes you're gunna have to shell out a bunch of money. If you dont like it then too bad i guess you missed out.

I cant tell you how many times this has happened to me. But you know what? Life goes on and more new music comes out and records keep spinning.

  7. this...just stick with your clear copy. you wanted a better sounding copy and now you've got it.

i also want a red but will stick with my white TCR pressing since i cannot justify spending so much on a record i already have.

Thanks XBRBX. You know what you're right man. There is a bunch of other records ive been wanting and i could get five or six new records compared to one of which I already have two copies of. The red is not going to sound any different. Its just going to have an impersonal machined stamped silver foiled number and red and black marbled vinyl. Of which I already have tons of on other releases.

Just seeing them readily available and the frenzy in this thread had me interested.

hahah I cant quit this thread. If there ever is a deja repress like said before I cant even imagine what is going to transpire. I think it might go a little something like this : kque.gif

  8. Idk $81.36 Is probably the most Ive paid for a record. I have multiple albums that are worth $100 + however I dont think I paid over $20 when i got them right when they came out. I love my OG copy but the sound quality is not that good. I cherish my clear because of the sound quality and would love to add the red to my collection.

They are going quick I have to decide quickly unfortunately.

Ive loved this band since 2003 and am just really happy there is a copy that sounds decent.

Collecting is a very expensive hobby lol.
