  1. Received one of the strongest babyface reactions inside the IZOD center at Extreme Rules. Can't speak to other markets
  2. Does anyone know what color this Amazon vinyl will be? http://www.amazon.com/Say-It-Like-You-Mean/dp/B00JES2QMO/ref=tmm_vnl_title_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1399412495&sr=8-1
  3. Do you have a specific question as to something I wrote?
  4. Incredibly unprofessional. I don't know what went on in the 1990s with Vince and Shawn behind closed doors but if it wasn't for that, he would have never gotten away with amateur behavior like ss05, his hissyfit at the wm14 presser, losing his smile etc. What bothers me about calling him mr. wrestlemania and the greatest ever is he was never a huge draw and when it comes to wrestlemania him v diesel and him v bret in anaheim are among the worst business wm ever did in its history. I think that went along with hall's drunk gimmick at the time moreso than him overselling to oversell. Was intrigued by this so I just watched the match. Looks to me like Bully just went to the wrong side because you see Nowinski go to the proper side and then change once he sees bully in the opposite corner.
  5. If Hollywood comes out to anything other than voodoo child on my starrcade 97 stream, I'm out.
  6. For everyone upset over Batista's position and recent PPV results, i truly believe you are all being worked. I interpret WWE's recent booking as playing off of the rich getting richer aspect of our society and the unequal distribution of wealth in our country. Randy Orton/Batista are known to be friends with the boss (HHH) and therefore get all the breaks - just as the rich do in today's workplace. Bryan represent the underpaid, underemployed frustrated masses and that is exactly who he is resonating with the most. As much as Austin was the blue collar working man's hero in the 1990s, bryan is the hero for frustrated millenial's trying their hardest but being held down in today's workforce. There is no doubt in my mind Bryan will get his comeuppance and eventually capture the WWE title. WWE does not hate you. WWE is not messing with you. WWE is working you, as they should be. They are telling you a story and it ends with Bryan on top.
  7. His $4 million valuation was absurd when you consider how long it took him to get to 890k in sales and the endless ways one can choose to burn calories.
  8. Luckily I don't have any schedule conflicts with 12:24, but I'm curious to hear from the VC veterans: with only 500 of each, how long do you see these lasting?
  9. I don't understand the hold up either. My only guess is perhaps more countries equates to a greater workload on the servers and they don't want to risk early problems with launch. As for everyone who is anti-NAO...If this were a legit sport, yes two forty something year olds holding the championship of a given division would make no sense but this is not a legit sport and this is entertainment and moreover it is an entertainment business. The NAO have the belts because the network is launching in 3 weeks and a large part of the people who WWE is hoping to get to subscribe are fans from the attitude era. Having NAO and other attitude era acts in prominent roles on tv over the next few weeks is in direct effort to bridge the gap for those 'lost' fans and hopefully get them to buy the network.
  10. Until this changes, they will continue to push personal agendas with little regard for your opinion. Based off of Nielson rating information from Monday, Batista is a draw as 5.25 million people tuned in at 8pm to see him return. The problem isn't that Batista isn't a draw, he is and his size and demeanor will attract the casual fan who believes that is what makes a legitimate pro wrestler. The problem is that they aren't making Bryan, like they made Batista in 2005-2006. The reason he popped 5.25 million people last Monday wasn't because he is inherently better or more appealing than Bryan, it's because the WWE got behind Batista and made him a draw, a luxury Bryan has never been afforded.
  11. I agree. Above all else, the streak is a draw. Casual fans still tune in to watch Undertaker's streak. If he were to retire, the streak being in tact loses its purpose and it loses the opportunity to further generate money after Undertaker's gone. If I were a betting man, I would say the best candidate to end the streak is John Cena in Dallas at WM32, in Taker's last match. It would also provide a nice bookend to the Undertaker/John Cena story. (See below) The reason I choose Cena and not a younger talent is because no younger talent unfortunately will ever be worthy due to the way wrestlers are produced today with overlyscripted promos and formulaic match structure. Because everyone is the same ice cream flavor, no one will ever rise up like Hogan, Austin, Rock, Cena before them who were afforded greater freedom in finding/expressing their character and thus connecting with the crowd.
  12. Love my numbers I missed the show live but just caught up on YouTube. My call: Batista is the rumble red herring here. Barely a mention of Bryan being a contender. Bryan with the unexpected rumble win Sunday in classic baby face fashion.
  13. That simply is not true. It would take too much time to fully detail how little money Warrior drew during his 9 month wwf title run (which was aborted prematurely due to failing miserably as a top draw) but take his first major ppv headline for example. Summerslam 1990 Warrior v Rude in a cage Lowest attendance of the first 7 summerslam events 3.8 buyrate compared to 4.8 in 1989 (which did not feature a WWF title match)
