  1. I haven't washed my car in months. We're loading the kids up tomorrow and taking it on a week long road trip so I decide to wash it yesterday...you know, start clean. Wake up this morning and it's pouring rain, which hasn't happened in California in forever. Right before I accept that the Universe is fucking with me, I realize something: I have the power to make it fucking rain! I can control the weather!! I'm like a fucking demigod!!! Bow before the Great and Powerful skadaddy you puny fucking mortals!! Then I accepted that the Universe is fucking with me.
  2. That's more offensive than the Nirvana shirt they had on the list, so hell yes.
  3. Awesome. I remembered knowing people who owned at least half of those shirts as I was thumbing through them.
  4. $28.44 shipped from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B004HEEUWO/ref=tmm_vnl_used_olp_sr?ie=UTF8&condition=used&sr=&qid=
  5. Nope...$36.28 shipped for the German Pressing: http://www.discogs.com/sell/item/224208356
  6. I can get it shipped from Greece for $39.36: http://www.discogs.com/sell/item/177786966?ev=bp_det
  7. Then why are you (or possibly someone else who has the exact same carpet and photography skills as you) selling the exact same one on eBay for $49.95 with free shipping? http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Jetsons-The-Movie-Original-Soundtrack-Vinyl-LP-Record-1990-RARE-/141655476649?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20fb5309a9
  8. I'm back. I sized the guy up when I got to his house and new I could take him unless he rolled up on me from behind. Guy looked like a really small Donnie Whalberg. Seriously...like a shorter Donnie Whalberg that never worked out. The burner is a beast. I may have gone a little overboard, but I couldn't beat the price.
  9. Looks like the Craigslist dude finally checked his e-mail and sent me an address. Hopefully I don't end up locked in a cage, because that would be twice this week and its only Wednesday.
  10. I remember helping a roommate in college solder the wires for his car stereo. He has the iron all heated up and I'm laying on my back holding the wires together. The puts a bead on, sets the iron down and inspects his work. Goes to add another bead and jumps out of the car screaming like crazy. Turns out he grabbed the iron like a pencil out of instinct because of the way its shaped...burns the fuck out of his fingertips. Moral of the story...don't grab a hot soldering iron like a pencil.
  11. My buddy had a Peanut Butter and Jelly Stout a few weeks ago when he was visiting Florida. He said it tasted exactly like a PB&J. A milk stout version would tie it all together though.
  12. Deal. The family is going on a road trip next week, but when we get back, a milk stout is the next brew I'm making. Thinking a split batch and adding Peanut butter (PB2, not an extract) to half of it. I love me some milk stout.
  13. I don't think you can legally sell homebrew. Regardless, if I ever talk about the honey porter I just made, remind me and I will send you a bottle. After I send Juan one, of course.
  14. So...it's now 2.5 hours before I'm supposed to meet this guy about the burner, and still no reply. I thought it was typically the buyers who were the "flakes" on Craigslist. Now, if I were looking for furry-style sex with a complete stranger riddled with the specific STD's I'm looking for while I'm forced to sit on a chocolate cream pie with a pregnant Chihuahua on my lap in the back of a Winnebago...instant response.
  15. This sounds awesome. I've been thinking about brewing a honey porter and using the local honey. It would appear that living in "Sacramento: America's Farm to Fork Capital" is starting to affect me.
  16. There is a beekeeping store in Midtown that sells the local honey. You bring in the jar and they fill it and charge you for how much you get. It's a cool deal. The bonus is that they sell other types of honey...and they have a sampling station where you get to squeeze the samples onto a small spoon. Must have been 15 different types last time I went...and you know I tried every one.
  17. It does make sense though. Bees make honey from the wildflowers that are starting to bloom so they are naturally in the local honey. Drink the local honey, introduce it to your body slowly, body develops antibodies to the pollen.
