Just come to Richmond! We have many great record stores (Deep Groove, Steady Sounds, Vinyl Conflict, Plan 9) and dozens of amazing restaurants (Roosevelt and Saison are person favorites).

I loved We Are Still Here; definitely a slow burn in the vein of 80s horror with a killer soundtrack to boot.

I brought up Bone Tomahawk a couple of weeks ago after watching it and absolutely loving it. I didn't notice any editing issues, but maybe I wasn't paying enough attention

Maybe you're where I heard about it. just mean it didn't need to be 2 hours. There were superfluous scenes that could have been removed and made the pacing faster. Thought all the actors brought their A game, though!

Guys, what's good lately? Stoked for Krampus! Watched Bone Tomahawk this week. It's kind of horror-ish, but not for this thread. Great acting, gnarly effects and gore, but definitely could have used an editor. Worth a watch, IMO.

Anyone see House On Pine Street or Tales of Halloween? I'm not sure they're out yet, but they seem promising. Not as promisimg as The Witch, but still.

Next year is the 20th anniversary of No Code, so presumably a new box set?

Vinyl Conflict and Deep Groove for RVA. Stay away from Plan 9, as they are overpriced as fuck. Steady Sounds is alright too. They used to be a lot bigger a year or so ago, but now share space with a thrift clothing store...

I thought The Hive was kind of full of itself. The main character is a total choad, so I didn't care about him figuring it all out. Black blood and eye stuff was cool, but the rest was mediocre.

I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year so I'm going to make my family eat some stuff they're not familiar with. Got some Marrow bones, thinking about doing a blood sausage stuffing, maybe charcuterie or sweetbreads.

I was there and even though it was an opening set, it was pretty awesome. Worth nothing, this opening set was longer than their headlining set at Global Citizen. I had a dvd of this show at some point. I wish they'd release it. I've been to so many "off" shows of theirs they seem intent on never releasing the boots for, this show, PJ20/Alpine Valley, Wrigley...

That reminds me I need to hunt for some recordings of the Vote For Change tour. Fampton and Neil Young played during their set in Toledo and I want that!
