Have you seen what those two earth albums go for? They'll be sold out of the black copies very soon and people will be in the same boat for those. It's the same with any limited record that goes oop and is popular, that's part of the hobby. Yes, it's expensive. Try finding a copy of Co&Ca - SSTB, try finding a copy of Bleed American.

You don't see people in the Earth reissue thread constantly bitching and moaning about missing out on the 500 colored Bees Made Honey and Hex reissues like you do people complaining that they missed out on 2,700 splatter EOTS records.its not the splatter. finding a damn copy of EOTS will cost you at the very least 50$ if you are VERY lucky.

I think the same guy has it listed on Discogs as well, for the same price. Considering what clear copies of the Decline have sold for in the past, $1,000 isn't actually obscene. It's just... average, I guess.
I was told by a lying friend that the decline was only pressed in clear when it first came out. He told me that there was a limited orange/155. I should probably check the fatwreck wiki more often.

I heard sublime's cover of "were only gonna die" before I new it was a bad religion song. When I found out it was a Bad Religion song, I listened to it then they became one of my favorite bands. Before that all I knew was "21st Century Digital Boy" and "You are The Government"
