Who's going. I was underwhelmed last time I saw Death Cab, but still enjoy them. Saw they'd be touring again, no big deal. But I saw they are touring with Cold War Kids and Ra Ra Riot, had to jump on. Not everyday a tour comes around when you like 3/3 bands on it. Going to be a great show. Got my tickets to the Aragon in chicago. Anyone else plan on attending? Looks like tickets are on sale on saturday.

In a website setting, it can stop spiders, used to read pages' content, from passing your information on to a spammer. good reason, makes sense. never thought of that.

by the way, i will have an exclusive color that no other store will be selling. i'll be able to talk a lot more about this once the "agreement term" is over. For now it's BAU and professionalism. Look forward to a great release at the end of the month. Thanks for the support, guys.

contact just says, can't sell it until "all parties" recieve the record. It's probably more that they don't want me to have an advantage at selling records first, but they said they have turned down requests by people to do a preorder for the first reason. I'm over it though. We'll just do it the way they want to do it so we don't have any issues. After all, it was in the contract.

Deep Elm wants to make sure they don't look or sound like shit before they got sent out. Apparently, a label has done this before where they presold a bunch of copies and when they came they were really messed up, but sent out anyway and the band was really pissed. It is what it is. Hopefully, I can sell them really quick and get started on the next record which is going to be much bigger. It just sucks cause I have two bands sitting and waiting for me to make their next records. Luckily, the next two records I'm only dealing with the bands and no labels!

1/29/09 update: If you haven't read the news from yesterday, it is below. There is some news on the website (http://www.dreamoverrecords.com). I've been talking with the band about having some extra cool stuff/surprises in the store upon release. The first 100 orders will receive a bonus surprise, and I'll let you know what that is when i receive them. I know I have gotten some requests from distros to carry the record. Distros who would like to carry it, you will be recieving the record 2 weeks to a month after it goes on sale in our store. if you would like to carry the record, please send me an email at [email protected]. -------------------------------------------------- Don't want to make a big deal out of this, but here it is... Good News: I have listened to the test presses and they sound really really good. The plant has let me know, we should have them in hand by the end of february. Bad News: I'm not going to get into it too much, but unfortunatley, Deep Elm is not letting me do a preorder for the record. They are not allowing me to sell my copies until they have theirs in hand. So therefore, the tentative release date is March 2. All this problem really does is slow down my next project, but oh well. There it is. my POI is the last press, clear blue vinyl and it sounds really good compared to some of the other PP stuff i have.

that record could sell 500 no problem. no one's gonna do a run of 100 or 250.

you probably shouldnt post record contracts like that. it'd probably piss off the label if they knew about it.

i've gone through three belt turn tables before i settled on my technics direct drive. the belt drives sometimes sound like a warped record. (at least the ones ive had)

direct drive is always better. i have a technics 1200 mk2, its amazing. also, be careful with shure. if you're going with shure, get the m97xe. it's incredible.

you can only order from interpunk pretty much right now. sold out at amazon i believe.
