Dealth with a label that i made two orders from and they never sent me anything. They kept saying it was in the mail, and it never came, and it was too late for me to file a claim and they stopped answering my emails. (BIG SCARY MONSTERS RECORDS, DON'T BUY FROM THEM!) Buyer has to do it to cover his ass, just in case you are lying, eventhough it wouldn't seem you are. But for all we know, you are really a 74 year old ex-con in oklahoma. If you have proof of shipment, you have nothing to worry about.

the label isnt milking it. academy fight song licensed it from temporary residence. pretty clever of them if you ask me.

pure sonics... i'd say you're right. but i'd take a 180 gram over standard weight any day, just for the fact heavier records feel better and most likely won't warp like other records. it just feels more quality. but otherwise, probably little to no sound difference. say you're pressing a record, and it's an extra .50 per record to do 180 gram, do it. if it's double the price... screw it... total ripoff.

not huge on colors, but any mock orange on orange final would be awesome as far as i'm concerned. edit: i mean orange vinyl, not final. that's so weird. they're not even spelled the same; just sound the same.

I've never found 180 gram records to sound inherently better than any other weight of record. I don't have a slouchy setup, either. grooves are usually just as thick on 180 gram. the best thing about 180 gram, is there's way less chance of warping. if a band sells a 180 gram record, i know i'm most likely not getting a warped record.

they say black has the best sound quality, but i guarentee none of us have setups where we could hear an honest difference. i've gotten records that have only been issued on color vinyl, and have said "that is one of the best records i've ever heard." but i can almost always hear more surface noise on a brand new picture disc.

ton's of labels still do this. haha. just kidding around. i think colors look cool, but if i ever have an option, i pick listening to the black copy.

when i talked to pirates, they said i could send them the master in the mail, or they will accept only uncompressed .wav files. it doesnt make sense that they would require .wav's if they were just going to compress them. especially, when it's not too much more work to send larger files.

i made sure not to read any reviews of peregrine before i heard it. i made sure to hear it on vinyl first, and it blew me away. one of my favorites. i think i like it more than most people.
