  1. Unfortunately I'm getting very few copies this time, so it'd be unfair to start saving them, in fact they'd all have gone already! I'll post once they're in and then it'll be first come, first served, and limited to 1 copy per person! I fully understand mate
  2. I'm gonna hopefully get in on the lp offer and order this in the next couple of days
  3. I went to one with chuck, tim barry from avail, the guy from lucero and some skinny engish guy who was bloody dreadful. could that be frank turner? Good description of Frank Turner but i quite like him still even though the last lp wasn't that ground breaking !
  4. Bloody hell ..thats tiny ! Bill be careful you don't swallow that thing
  5. Wow. Namecalling! And just because I asked a rational question. I haven't bought this yet, because I don't have the money to spend on something I really don't need right now. But it's just a product. A thing. You're calling into question the integrity of a band that you're obviously very passionate about over this ONE THING in all the years they've been marketing things as a band. A group of musicians. Regular guys who get together and write songs, drive around the country, play music, and sell things. But hey, if you're of such a fragile mindset that this has left a bitter taste in your mouth, and one guy questioning if maybe you're taking it a little too personally constitutes them being a "dick," then this discussion is really not going to gain any traction whatsoever. Maybe with some thicker skin and a little perspective, you'll separate the idea that the band's music, and the pieces of cloth and plastic they sell for money to the people that want them, are the same thing. Actually, what I mean to say is, Chuck Ragan, Chris Wollard, Jason Black, and George Rebelo hate their fans, and are the modern day robber-barons of punk rock. Sarcasm my friend ....you need to lighten up a bit, maybe get out a bit more, Us English are very good at Sarcasm which i'm sure you already know but i didn't call you a dick personally, i said there are too many dicks on here. You are right on one thing though ...........Subject closed
  6. Taking this awfully personally, don't you think? No i don't think so ....its my opinion that it is a "cash cow" and if you thinks its ok to spend $60 on three t-shirt bundles then you go ahead and do it ....This is one of the reasons why i don't comment much on this site much anymore cause there are too many dicks on here ! Thank you Mr tangent and goodnight
  7. Hot Water Music, what were you thinking ? I thought you cared about your fans but i've got second thoughts now. $20 for a shirt that nobody wants and a 7" that everybody wants, which comes in 3 variations + the tour 7" .....to me it looks like its just a "Cash Cow" and not a second thought has gone to the fans ! Very dissapointing and i'm passing on this until the 2nd press, so i can get what i want .......a 7" record
  8. I would love just one of those Flammable Solid singles ....great collection
  9. Have one at the store back in California out for $800. Anybody want it for less? This is only for the press on Virgin. About 8 years ago I found one of these at a shitty shop that used to be in Costa Mesa, Ca called Noise Noise Noise and they had no idea what it was. That was probably the smartest $4 I ever spent because I put it up for sale in my store. After being up in the store for a little less than a week I was able to sell it for $2000. I thought without ebay I was going to be lucky to get $100 for it. Moral of the story: If you're going to dress up like a clean-jeans gutterpunk and come spend $2000 (on a Sex Pistols single no less) at my store, don't get mad when I make fun of you. You were very lucky to get $2000 for that Sex Pistols single on Virgin as that is only a £30 record if you're lucky ! Poor sod who bought it . The $11,500 quote is for the A&M press which there was only ever a handful escape before they all got destroyed, well some people say 9 copies but other people say 12 but its not many anyway I do remember the last one to be sold was for something like £10000 You can get a good repro of the A&M 7" but that would still set you back £50-£70
  10. flood, your choices are pretty obvious but i think the original poster was talking about a "modern release" ....i guess "modern" counts as the last 10 years or so
  11. in 5 years 3/4 of the people on here probably will already have gotten rid of all their records, gotten married or had kids and music isnt that important for them anymore. i've seen it happen for years. i agree with some of that but there is still a lot of us oldies who have settled down and have still kept their collection and still buy vinyl for the love of vinyl & music
  12. Its gonna be a NOFX record. You've only gotta look at The Decline, the last one a few days ago went for $1075 !! That record can only getter higher & higher
  13. It was good fun 10-20 years ago but much harder as all you had was local record shops, secondhand shops and a few magazines like " Record Collector" " Spiral Scratch" to find the stuff you're looking for. I remember spending hrs in shops just flicking through crate after crate of shite just to find that one golden nugget , it was hard sometimes but enjoyable at the same time. Nowadays with the internet you can virtually find anything (but it comes at a price ) . There's been certain records i couldn't find in the past but now some of them records i've managed to get 3 or 4 times now which is great cause you can sell them on to fund something else you're after. The only problem i find now is the competition of buying new limited vinyl, you know half the people are only buying to flip so you've got to get in quick, i dont get pissed off with flippers as i,ve done it in the past as its a means to an end. Also the cost of shipping pisses me off especially as i like a lot of stuff overseas but i'm greatful to the few uk distro folk who i've got to know throught the web, do save me a lot of money and will go out of there way to get me stuff....so a big thanks to those guys ( you know who you are ) and my overseas friends aswell 50% of me love the old days but the other 50% love the new days .......i get so confused
  14. I know its already been said but $25 for international shipping with S1D .......are they having a fuckin' laugh .....seriously !!!
  15. Nice idea Alan Want : Caves - Homeward Bound LP Lemuria - The First Collection LP GREEN/100
  16. As far as I remember, 200 copies were pressed. 100 to give away at the gig, 100 to sell in Banquet. Cheers for the info Gary So i guess, the 100 for the gig were numbered and the ones in the shop were un-numbered ?
  17. What's the deal with this record, i heard there was only 100 copies pressed but i've got an un-numbered copy so something doesn't add up.
