Since I don't think it will ever be repressed, I paid $250 for a copy of Tool - Aenima.

I don't know if anyone still cares about the translucent green/coke bottle pressing anymore, but in case anyone is wondering...

that is what I was trying to get at that this is out of place. He has the whole pressing of Ac cities burn unopened? Firs tresses of Brand New, Thrice, The Dear Hunter, The Devil Wears Prada, Converge, BTBAM all sealed? It could happen but it seems like a quick way to prey on people who are looking for those particular records.

True, but I got all sealed TP's of all The Fall of Troy's albums, plus one of the first pressings of Doppelganger sealed, and for good prices. It seems like a lot of work to offer good deals, build up this whole reputation, then burn it to the ground for a couple grand. I wait to hear to see what he has to say. But if I don't get my money back, then I know never to gift again, even if I have dealt with you in the past.

I had bought from him in the past and had no issues (4 Fall of Troy TP's too). This time I sent him the cash as a gift since I hadn't had an issue. Haven't heard from him since Dec. 29th. Still hoping for the best... Otherwise, I guess I learned my lesson.

Agreed, and my favorite instrumental prog metal band now. Widek - Journey to the Stars was another really good 2015 release.

Really cool stuff here. Been listening to these guys for a while. It nice blend of post rock and, like, technical grind core, maybe? I don't know. Listen to it. And if you like it, really cop of the vinyl. It's a fantastic pressing, and they really need it. I ordered it like a year after they pressed it, and I got 90 out of 250.

Not sure if there are any Skyharbor fans lurking around here, but they recently just put up a pre-order for Guiding Lights on vinyl. Downside, it's about $47 USD with shipping... Didn't see any announcement of a US pressing either. There are only 8 left when I last looked as well.

Well my setup is in my apartment, and with a floor above me and below me, I can't go really loud. My primary use for the speakers is for mixing music on my 1200s, and for listening to albums. I've gotten used to a neutral sound (and prefer it now), so I'm fine with studio monitors.

 

Thanks for the recommendations slinch. I'll check out the reviews on them.

 

Wildcall - which Genelec's would you recommend? I was looking at the 8030s, but at $800 each, it pushes a pair out of my price range.

I am planning on upgrading my KRK Rokit 5's to the VXT6's. Wanted to see if anyone had any other recommendations for powered monitors in the $800-$1200 range.
