I’m sure the finished product is beautiful, but I won’t be able to fully appreciate it for a bit - my copy got punctured on the side and it actually bent one of the lps. Lenticular print escaped harm.

Is joining VMP still worth it? If so, which tier is the best to go with?
I’m considering it again for the Kacey Musgraves reissue and also snag the Pearl Jam Yield for a cheaper amount.
I was debating the one year sub as you get 8 free records (so 20 records total). The price comes out to ~$22 each before tax which made it seem bearable as there were enough titles to pick from. Couldn’t get the site to work while trying to confirm selection and gave up.

I wish I could remember the whole story, but there was an interview with Walter like 15+ years ago where he talks about how he fought to record this with Don Fury (big accomplishment while on a major label) and Don had just changed his setup so it wasn’t recorded to tape like all the classic recordings we love from his studio. This record definitely would have been a hundred times bigger if the recording didn’t sound so thin. The songs themselves are all bangers.
This is consistent with what I’d heard - the switch to new digital technology is what changed the whole vibe.

Fuck!!!! I had the Dine Alone deluxe variant in cart along w/ the book one and the DA sold out. Motherfuck...
It’s available via the quicksand band store.

SRC reissues of Slip/MC were ~10-11 years ago so hopefully a fresh take on one or both. If this teaser is for an odds and ends comp then that would be even cooler if they did.

Looks like manic compression era logo Quicksand.

Hearing folks that ordered The Acacia Strain FF exclusive are also getting the Brooklyn Vegan variant of Stretch instead of "3750". What a mess.
That sucks. They had me send my copy back “for system and stock purposes” in order to process the exchange even though I ordered a copy from Brooklyn Vegan and Hard Times. I’m skeptical they can get it right but claimed they can fulfill the orders.
”Yes, we will be able to fulfill your order for STRETCH ARM STRONG ‘RITUALS OF LIFE’ LP (Furnace Fest Exclusive – Only 500 made, Clear w/ Blue, Black, and White Marble Vinyl) and BrooklynVegan will be able to fulfill your order for STRETCH ARM STRONG ‘RITUALS OF LIFE’ LP (Limited Edition – Only 200 made, Blood/Black Swirl Vinyl).”

Stretch Armstrong: I received the Furnace Fest edition from The Hard Times w/ the Obi strip but the blood/black swirl was inside (same color as the Brooklyn Vegan variant that I placed a separate order for but had not shipped yet). I sent an email to get the FF variant sent in place of the unshipped BV variant. A copy came from DW (gold/galaxy- looks great) and all of the copies have the same barcode and no external information identifying what version in inside.
Update: Iodine confirmed it was a warehouse mixup when I asked on IG. Told me Project M sent the following for people to contact them:

Got mine from Brooklyn Vegan today, same boat, FF Obi, Blood/Black swirl inside. Guess it’s the /200 project M variant.
Believe so. I ordered that version as well but it hasn’t shipped from BV who were selling that specific colorway. Hard Times sent the FF version that I received yesterday. Same company but none of my current copies have any external identification as to variant plus the barcodes are identical.

Has anyone received the FF variant of Rituals of Life yet? My copy had the obi but the blood/black color vinyl inside.

Just got shipping notification and I appreciate the quick turnaround time.

Having all the b-sides together makes it worth it for me. I love a thorough reissue.

With the KYUSS 2xLP...are they pressing how many are ordered or is it a set number?
I think direct to consumer preorders and whatever stores request as per usual. The site says 401 locations and I assume they get a solicitation for each release. Had to get the Fire Theft in a shop because I dragged on the preorder.

I plan to attend the Detroit date next week. I went to the Numero pop up at Third Man Cass Corridor a few years back. Tons of deals as well as stuff not available online, and should be a similar experience this time with even more vendors. I think if you like these labels then it’ll be worth checking out.

Would be great to get a repress of Rocket from the Crypt’s Group Sounds or Live From Camp XRay.
I want to say they had the 20th anniversary versions available until recently - hope they keep them in print and do the split with the Get Up Kids again as I never picked it up.
-
The preorder aspect is nice - get it to people who are interested ala run out groove. If only they would offer a voting system for releases that haven’t been around a while to gauge interest (number one pick for me would be Get Your Goat).

Crazy deal. Was just watching old videos of them from Krazyfest when A Flight and A Crash had just come out. *nostalgia intensifies*

Keep an eye out for 1234Go!, Rev and some of the bigger punk stores in the US
The 7 Songs EP came back in stock on red after it sold out day one, likely this will be back on green due to demand. Glad they are doing more titles in a color that reflects aspects of the cover art.

If you reverse the audio on that clip, Walter sounding a bit more intense. Wonder if this will be heavier.
This is my hope as well. Interiors is a fine album but I’m ready something heavier (knowing it’ll be different than the earlier releases and that’s ok).

Looks like FP is $34.50 shipped. Is VMP charging tax now?
I cancelled my subscription end of last year but they started charging tax at some point prior to that.

Music On Vinyl does a lot of reissues in the Reggae/Ska/Rocksteady vein. I have several and they are well done. Also, Two
Sevens Clash by Culture comes to mind as a recently reissued title worth checking out.
