  1. I saw the band last night at the Independent in SF, they were amazing! Lots of merch including two different t-shirt designs, two different posters, cd's and vinyl. The guys came out after the show and took pics and signed for everyone. I definitely recommend catching them if you can, it's amazing to have seen them play such a small venue.

That's awesome! How long did you have to wait before they came out? I'm seeing them next Thursday and would love to meet Matt!

  2. Last night, I saw Sufjan Stevens perform an absolutely amazing show at the Chicago Theatre. Got there about a half an hour before doors open (this was an all seated venue) and there were quite a few people already waiting in line. The Epic Fail 7" is a tour exclusive and it contains a remix of his song "Fourth of July" and a brand new song. I was pretty nervous about getting this because it's limited to 500 and there are only about 25 copies of it at each show. It was kind of a mad dash to the merch table, but I ended up snagging one of these! About 10 minutes later, they were all sold out! http://imgur.com/8hwqoOE

  3. So I was browsing the internet yesterday and came across The Beat Goes on Records. They have an RSD leftovers list and at their Brantford store, they still have a copy of the Foo release. I emailed them, commented on their facebook status and tweeted at them. This morning, they replied to my facebook comment (which was would they be able to ship to the states) and they said that at this time, they are only shipping locally. If any of you guys live near their Brantford location and are willing/able to pick me up a copy, I would greatly appreciate it! Obviously, I would take care of all the costs. Let me know! http://thebgo.tumblr.com/post/117001240342/record-store-day-2015-leftovers

  4. I was fortunate enough to score one of these at the new Wicker Park Reckless Records in Chicago. I was third in line (a buddy and I got there at 11:45 the night before). Went on social media around 6am and saw that they posted something about a mystery McCartney release, so I added it to the bottom of my list, not really thinking anything of it. Doors opened at 10am and it was pretty well organized, everything was behind the counter, you give your list to an employee and they grab what you want. Once I saw the employee I was dealing with almost done grabbing everything I wanted, I saw him walk up to the owner and then pointed at me. The owner handed me the 12" and said "You better hold on to this and I better not see it on Ebay" (I assured him). A photographer took a picture of me (never asked for my name, so they kind of botched the whole "put it on social media campaign" that went along with this) and I walked out happy with everything I wanted on my list. Now, I've done a little bit of research on this release and I guess it was supposed to be priced at $9.99 or lower, but not to be given away. When I got home, I was curious to see how much it was and took a look at my receipt, it was not on there. Also, is it actually initialed and handwritten by McCartney? It looks to be that way, but I'm not sure? I've also read that it was limited to 100 or 109 and that they did this in England a few weeks prior to RSD. I know that it's two remixes of "Hope for the Future". If anyone has any other information on this release, I would greatly appreciate it! http://imgur.com/XfzTy3V
