  1. If anyone wants to see the official set-times for any of the bands go to this link, they're all posted there... http://riotfest.org/news/2011/may/17/windy-city-sound-clash-adds-dear-landlord-finalize/ Also, I got the finalized flyer with Dear Landlord added to it....
  2. If anyone that lives in Chicago wants to get their tickets in the next two days without paying any of the online service fees then head on down to the Beat Kitchen on Wednesday or Thursday from 1pm-7pm and ask for John Benetti. Cash only!
  3. Only Rain, The Pride And The Pallor, and Wrong Way Kids are all great songs, the rest I'm kind of mixed on.
  4. My friend works for Riot Fest and his job the year that Screeching Weasel played was to collect Riot Fest's share of all the merchandise money from each band, as contractually obligated. My friend stated on punknews that he felt bad that his job involved taking merch money from bands like Off With Their Heads, but he stated that he didn't feel bad taking Riot Fest's money from Screeching Weasel's merch. He also stated something along the lines of watching a bit of Screeching Weasel's set and him being over caring about them anymore. Ben read this comment on punknews, proceeded to find out all the information that he could about my friend, contact my friends boss, and he got suspended for it and had to write Ben an apology letter. I honestly wish this story was made-up but it is 100% true. And you people should read, I said suspended, not fired.
  5. No, my friend just made a comment on a punknews article from his home computer.
  6. My friend. He didn't say anything threatening or anything serious like that, he just stated an unfavorable opinion of SW and since Ben likes to read everything about himself on the internet, Ben did the research to track down exactly who my friend was and complained directly to my friends boss and my buddy got suspended from his job and had to write an apology letter to Ben.
  7. Ben's an asshole for multiple reasons but I guess the most valid reasons I have involve him getting my good friend suspended from his job just for things my friend said on the internet about SW. Not to mention what he did to manipulate Jughead to get him to give up the major rights to the Screeching Weasel name, plus his rampage on Toby, who's done way more work to support punk rock with Red Scare than Ben has ever done.
  8. It's a good line-up but I'm not going. I'm with Justin. I know enough of the stories about how horrible Ben Weasel is that I just refuse to give the man any of my money. Not to mention Ben Weasel himself has personally once got a good friend of mine suspended from his job just because of things my friend had said on the internet.
  9. The plus side is that this show is only $10 so instead of paying $30 for a NYE show you'll have that extra $20 to spend on booze! Boo-urns! Come on out and party Justin! The new and improved Fireside Bowl is pretty nice in comparison to what it was in the past. Actually went bowling there a few times recently, I'm still terrible at bowling but it was fun regardless. I'm pretty burned out on Ian's Party; too many of the same bands that I don't care about from previous years, not enough new bands or bands that were worth seeing in previous years. I only plan on going to the Saturday show, that one at least has the Dopamines, Vacation Bible School and a few other decent bands.
  10. Not only is this a great line-up, but it's also at Chicago's legendary Fireside Bowl! Tickets are only $10 and they're available now: http://www.ticketweb.com/t3/sale/SaleEventDetail?dispatch=loadSelectionData&eventId=3251815
  11. Nice flyer! You gonna make some prints? We'll probably make a hand full to sell at the show.
  12. Dead To Me def have the capability to sell it out. But I haven't heard anything about the online pre-sale being close to selling out just yet so I think it'll all depend on how many people show up the day of the show and pay at the doors. If that changes I'll let it be known.
