I post about this every year, but my local store in Cleveland is called My Mind's Eye. They don't do online orders but the owner, Charles, will take orders over the phone. They're incredibly fair priced (their RSD prices are usually a buck or two lower than any other store you see online), and they still have a decent amount of RSD stock left as of a few hours ago. Here's what I saw when I was there (there was more, too, but here's what I can recall):
Air
Bobby Bare
Courtney Barnett
Jeff Beck
Jeff Buckley
Cam'ron
The Casket Lottery
Ornette Coleman
Compton's Most Wanted
The Cure
Mac DeMarco
Dr. Octagon
Duran Duran
First Aid Kit
Fleet Foxes
Florence + The Machine
John Fogerty
Gloria Gaynor
Hawkwind
J Dilla
Kenny Loggins
Madonna
Mastodon
Moody Blues
Motorhead
Bill Murray
Pagans
Prince
Rob Base
Sock-Tight
Spongebob
Star Wars
Sun Ra
Superchunk
Swans
Tad
George Thorogood
Too Short
Touche Amore
Twin Peaks
The Vapors
Whitesnake
Wipers
V/A - Jazz Dispensary
V/A - Planet Terror
V/A - Recutting The Crap
They're just about closed today but are open from 12-9 Monday through Saturday. You can call them at 216-521-6660.
Same store that gouged me for $25 on a Gerard Way 7" a few years ago. Drove an hour to get there and then gouged me because it was for my daughter and she was with me. Haven't stepped foot in that store since.

I ordered two teals, one has a hype sticker stating teal and the other doesn't, UPC codes match. Should I be concerned? They are Christmas gifts, I shop early, so I can't open.
-
Anyone get their Banquet orders yet? I ordered on 5/3. On 5/17 they reached out to me telling me 2 of my 3 were on hold and the third was expected any day now. Order details show 2 items picked and 1 waiting an update.

I've ordered from them like ten times total probably and the only issue I ever had was that their LP mailers squish jackets when you buy more than one album
I ordered 2 lps and a box set, and they were shipped in a box within a box, arrived perfectly,

Has anyone had issues with Deep Discount? I've only placed 2 orders this year, the first one I ordered only sleeves, and they shipped me 3 blu-ray discs, and the last order everything was correct, but they added in an extra lp. Last company that did that to/for me was Hastings and well, they aren't around anymore. Just wondering.

I don't think they were ever sent. Mine was due 5/16. I sent a message asking for tracking on 5/17 and they refunded me a few hours later. And the 3.99 shipping refund came about 2 hours after that (pointing this out to spare you a 2nd angry email to them).
Anybody have any issues with therecordexchange? I got no tracking, and so far, no email response.
just the issue that they don't ship their RSD product. Call them at the store. some people have had luck getting some of their orders shipped that way, my suggestion would to be not order from them based off my experience, they rank up their with SRC in my opinion.

A friend of mine had his Space Jam order cancelled. Unlikely, but if anyone sees that pop up somewhere that would be cool.

There you go.

You may still be in luck. I emailed to ask for clarification on what "will follow" meant. They basically made it seem like whatever item you ordered is reserved for you, so long as you got an order confirmation. It's just a matter of being extremely delayed in shipping them out.
I hope so, i got my credit card statement today and I have already been charged in full. I did get one of those update emails yesterday or the day before. Hope it all works out.

Ugh, just got an "order delayed, will follow" email from Banquet regarding two albums I copped there. I ordered literally 2 minutes after they went live and they're still showing stock left on one of the releases, so that's slightly annoying. They said they will follow up 7/5....they did take my money out and haven't reimbursed me though, so I guess I can try and have a glimpse of optimism.
Edit: if anyone ordered from Banquet and hasn't heard anything yet, you are probably still in luck. They emailed me back saying their shipping is incredibly delayed because of the 2500+ orders on the 29th and after. They said the items you ordered are reserved for you, as long as you received an order number and confirmation.
Did they follow up with you on 05/7? I placed an order on 5/3 and haven't heard a thing yet.

Whole bunch of Bill Evans went back up (Banquet)
Thanks @freezeflash, I had just about given up hope, this is the thing I wanted the most this RSD. Also picked up the Cars, and the Lenny Kravitz. Hope they ship, I have had nothing but problems for the most part with canceled orders, etc. Thanks again!

I finally had to call the Record Exchange in Idaho, since I haven't received a shipping confirmation from them, They don't fill orders based on first in first out or any type of retail method, my order was still sitting there untouched from 3 days ago and they were sold out on all 3 items, Sundays, Wombats and U2. He apologized, told me he would get them removed from the site. DO NOT order from them.

Very confused on the deluxe version, I ordered it through Best Buy, does it exist outside of the Gorillaz store or not? Strangely, the item is no longer available on their website, but my order is still open/not cancelled. I did read through a lot of this thread, but can't find a concrete answer. So Thanks!

If anyone's still after that Sundays record, The Record Exchange just posted that they still have it via Instagram.
Ordered it yesterday afternoon through them, no shipping info or confirmation yet. I would be cautiously optimistic, and shipping is through the roof! 3 lps = $16.

Placed an order this morning of the Art Pepper and Mayer Hawthorne and already have a shipping confirmation from Graywhaleslc.com. They have Alice in Chains, Dee-lite ( I know someone wanted it, didn't have time to find out who and I gotta get to work), Bowie Promo, Jaco and Sire box sets, Hendric etc.

Can vouch for the Record Exchange as being a super legit record store. Very honest and trustworthy people, they started up in 1977. The owner Michael Bunnell is also the Executive Director of CIMS (Coalition of Independent Music Stores) and one of the founders of Record Store Day. Also, not sure if this has been posted, but found a place that has Ike Reiko records going up for sale on the 4-29-17.

They might be legit, but it cost me $16.00 to ship 3 records from Idaho to Ohio and I didn't see it until I had already placed the order, hope I get them, My experience with plaidroom records was not a good one, I ordered Bill Evans, u2, and Mike Peters at 8:00 am on Sunday, got a cancellation notice around 5:00 pm for the Bill Evans, I just canceled that order, completely.

That's awesome. Switchfoot always put on great shows. I have seen them 3 times now and they never disappoint. I really wanted to see Switchfoot with Relient K on this past tour but I was unable to travel for the nearest date. I really wanted to see Deathbed live and with the two bands touring I'm sure Relient K had Jon on to perform it.
I have no idea what happened there, but Jon came out just in time and finished up the song.

#6 I can say 100% is Vesperteen (Drummer of House Of Heroes solo stuff)
And #3 is definitely Hello Hurricane, they just tweeted to someone saying " also heard hurricane season is starting early this year "
Absolutely, Jon came out just in time.

I have, but I didn't notice the difference, but i haven't seen the Columbia. I just got into Switchfoot and Relient K this year, believe it or not, I was home sick and turned on the outdoor channel and their documentary was on "Fading West", just watching that got me much more into the band. Went and saw them and did the VIP thing in February, great show, great guys. Relient K opened, Air for Free was my first lp of theirs and just fell in love with the Beatlesque sounds/vocals and the lyrics. Did convince them to play "Candy Hearts" at the show, I ran into their bass player in the lobby with his dad, told him how much I like their music, and how much I loved Candy Hearts, and begged them to play it.

I agree, I have an OG Hello Hurricane but I am glad it is pressed again so many more people can enjoy it. The first press was limited to only 1000 copies which made for a crazy aftermarket.
I am really excited for Nashville Tennis EP as well, I have wanted this pressed ever since SMLXL started pressing Relient K albums. Very happy to have this soon.

I'm just glad it is not SRC, I will actually get a shipping confirmation and communication about the shipment, unlike The Beautiful Letdown. SRC was the letdown, they were suppose to send me coupons for all the issues I had, never got them.

I wonder if the yellow RK will sell out quick? They posted these an hour early.
That and Hello Hurricane were the things I was most excited about, I would assume so, given only 300. I ordered them before I posted here.

They are all up and live now! A few have limited color variants of 300 i.e. Relient K - The Nashville Tennis and Five Iron Frenzy Our Newest Album
2 minutes ago, thefavoriteplay said:The new stuff is up.
Relient K - Nashville Tennis EP has a /300 exclusive variant of "Tennis Ball" yellow and a standard press of "French clear"
Switchfoot - Hello Hurricane - is a standard blue
beat me by a second!

Well, shit. I was going to see if I could go a WHOLE DAY without buying an album, and this ended that attempt. There's always tomorrow! (Thanks for posting. I have always loved this album. "Larry" is my favorite.)
I made it two whole days, but I have VMP being delivered tomorrow and sometime next week I have a package of 22 lps coming from my recent visit to OKC and two different trips to Monkey Feet Music. And I picked up the Vince Guaraldi box set on discogs which I'm sure will be here too. I've got a lot of explaining to do to the boss, (my wife).

Thanks, ordered, found it at Bullmoose to but $6 bucks more. So I ordered it here! Wish Big Red Letter Day was being released too. Great album!

Yeah of course I am making this up, Here is my yelp review of the store, dated 4/25/16. Yes I left a few details out like all the phone calls the promise to hold etc. But he did gauge me.
Lakewood, OH 44107
I spoke to someone on Thursday who told me a particular RSD title would be in either Thursday or Friday, and asked me to call back after 5:00 pm on Thursday. I called, it didn't come in, said it would be there Friday. I explained my work hours, he committed to holding the item until Sunday. I show up Saturday night with my daughter (who it was for) and I ask about the item. The guy looks at me with a straight face, tells me they are gone, sold out. I then reminded him he was suppose to hold one for me, he took my name and number, suddenly he finds one that is on hold for someone else but will give it to me since we drove almost an hour to get it.
Then he lays it on me, he wants 3 times what the retail of the item is! It is a new record that just came out, but he wants what "market' is on the item. So I can either fork it over or disappoint my daughter. Unethical and Unscrupulous. Never again will I walk into that record store, he had the opportunity to make a customer for life, instead he wanted a quick, extra dollar. Never Again.
