  11. so over 350 people have checked it out and 56 people actually tried it. Friday I announce the 100% winners so if you haven't already...
  12. yeah the 7" version on New Alliance is the one you gotta snag up. If you have the dough.
  13. yeah understood. I'm too low-tech to figure out how to tally otherwise.
  14. Hey all, I made a fun little quiz to test your skills with identifying LP covers from some classic album artwork. Take a look if you can get into it. Don't be shy. www.imustfindatlantis.com -Jeff
  15. rubber cement is good because you can wipe the dried residue away if you mess up but the record will peel apart again at some point. I always use Krazy glue and take the sleeve far away from the record and it's contents until it's def dry. Also throw a couple books on the edge for weight and it's a done deal. I hate buying an old record and finding the scotch tape solution on them. Nothing worse than that - always yellows and looks like hell.
  16. I'm torn. The first black one looks tightest but the blue one is more true to the original SC design. Also, design-wise it's solid with one small thing bothering me. If you could just tweak that last "V" and "E" in "Collective" to wrap the record better it would be an A+
  17. raffle off a couple test pressings. paypal a buck to enter. pretty illegal but effective.
  18. Do a benefit show. Get Jazz June to play, along with some other indie bands that fit the bill who are willing to play for gas money - kids pay and donate to get in and money makes the record happen. Then those same kids pay more money to own another copy! ha! seriously though I know at least 20 people who would be there.
  19. yeah throw four of these on there and your color vinyl might sound better http://www.needledoctor.com/Clearaudio-Goldfinger-Phono-Cartridge;jsessionid=0a010b441f4309838e60df274a03bc6eec4ad9ef91ad.e3iKaNePch4Re34Pa38Ta38Nc3r0
  20. super psychos like a different cartridge for different styles of music. I don't know, I think it looks silly. I'm good with one tone arm.
  21. On sale now: http://www.cnn.com/2009/TECH/01/16/ces.luxury.turntable/index.html
  22. I get mental about my records if they get even the slightest warp I will replace them, unless it's super rare. How is it possible that almost all your records have a slight warp? I know a lot of times records coming overseas can be really wobbly. Are you sure you are getting them warped and not storing them incorrectly or maybe your turntable is tweaked?
