Circa Survive Juturna 10 Year Anniversary
BeeRyanD replied to Fowty Dollaz's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Ack. And the last thing this album is for me is a summer album. Haha. I hope the sound quality and packaging is worth the wait, at least.- 901 replies

PO Soon: As Cities Burn - Come Now Sleep
BeeRyanD replied to mitch5643's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
So I put the clear on my table and it took me a good 20 minutes to flip it because the spindle hole is so small. I didn't think it'd be this bad. Wow. -
The Money Pit - Self Titled (ex-gatsbys american dream)
BeeRyanD replied to Tommy's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I'm gonna jump on it too, but I'm glad I got to spread the awareness to you other folks too. For a band that doesn't seem to care much for capitalism, it feels ironic to not directly support them and instead go through the big-name seller. But hey, it's my $$$$ -

Circa Survive Juturna 10 Year Anniversary
BeeRyanD replied to Fowty Dollaz's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Any cool alternate covers going around for the demos? I don't like having duplicate album covers, and I'm using the picture disc Tree-Bike picture for the rerelease, but I need one for the Linden House Demos and the stems whenever I get them.- 901 replies

Circa Survive Juturna 10 Year Anniversary
BeeRyanD replied to Fowty Dollaz's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Just got the email with downloads! I'm really excited. Getting more and more upset that I missed out on tickets to both the Philly and Starland Ballroom shows, since those are both super convenient for me to get to.- 901 replies

PO Soon: As Cities Burn - Come Now Sleep
BeeRyanD replied to mitch5643's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I like the rectangle. I think it'd be cool of you to ask the band since they didn't get a say in any other details about the album. I feel like it'd take this to another level to get their input! -

BeeRyanD replied to mitch5643's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I coulda made it clearer, don't worry! I meant more that your average hot topic customer is probably not familiar with how valuable this record is to a lot of people. I meant it'd be more like Finch's Say Hello to Sunshine; a truly incredible record that will sit in Hot Topic's (ultra shitty) vinyl storage things, getting passed up because of its relatively lofty pricetag. -

I feel like this isn't an album that will be casually picked up by people. Hot Topic distributers would be hella dumb if they didn't put almost all of them online. -
PO Soon: As Cities Burn - Come Now Sleep
BeeRyanD replied to mitch5643's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I wouldn't recommend either of these things, as it could very easily make the record unplayable. But it's your funeral if you want to take the risk. Good luck. -

I'm disappointed but can't imagine I'll ever be disappointed enough to let go of it. I hope you get a copy of it. Hopefully a repress that actually gets some very simple, common-sense things right. -

I don't have time to jot down everything that I find beautiful about this album, but you really hit some amazing points on here. Contact, Timothy, Our World is Grey, Wrong Body, and Clouds are the tracks that resonate with me the most, but all of them hit me incredibly hard. The lyrics on here are just... so wonderful. I don't know if any other album has captured desperation like this one does. -

PO Soon: As Cities Burn - Come Now Sleep
BeeRyanD replied to mitch5643's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
On the CD, it was a sticker, so the artwork was just the painting, not the title or anything. So I was hoping that the title part would just be a sticker on shrink-wrap, not on the artwork itself. And mine is came a tiny bit mangled on the edges, something that would have definitely not happened if they had just put it in a plastic sleeve or something. Also, if they're going to ship them without shrink-wrap, why not keep the records out of the jackets like most people do? Like c'mon. Woah, from where? -
PO Soon: As Cities Burn - Come Now Sleep
BeeRyanD replied to mitch5643's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Actually, not sarcasm, sorry. I was going to keep it wrapt because it sounded like the packaging was a little on the flimsy side, and I didn't want to open it until I was around my set-up, which I'm currently not. Also the lack of insert/ not including the coolest part of the artwork in here / having the title-sticker on the actual cover is pretty disappointing. Seems a little half-baked for a $33 pressing, ya know?
