What I find disturbing is how much less expensive Bull Moose's pricing is than my local Los Angeles stores. I wonder if Bull Moose lowered the prices already? For example, Bull Moose is asking $13.99 for the U2 picture disc. I saw it in two L.A. stores on RSD for $17.99 and $19.99. I saw many examples just like this one in comparing prices this morning.

I just wanted to be sure you realized you are asking for these at a price below the RSD retail pricing. I posted this link earlier: this is Piccadilly Records in the UK and shows the retail pricing on all the RSD links. The Colleen LPs were listed at 16.99 UK Pounds each (approximately 22 US Dollars). https://www.piccadillyrecords.com/RSD_2017_Product_List_PICCADILLY_RECORDS.pdf

If you still need the splatter, I think I can pick one up for you. Permanent Records in Los Angeles (they trade on Discogs as LA Rarities) had a couple left. It was a tiny issue, only 150 pieces I think. Link to their instagram post from yesterday: www.instagram.com/p/BTPWo_aBy2i/?taken-by=permanentrecordsla&hl=en- 5 replies

This Ebay seller has lots of those tough to find Europe releases (like Goldie, etc): and no, I don't know if it is a referral link! http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_sop=10&_ssn=earcandymusic2&hash=item2cbe00dc74%3Ag%3ARH8AAOSwtZJY~GcH&item=192166288500&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xrsd.TRS0&_nkw=rsd&_sacat=0 Edit: I'm sorry, I guess there are not that many listings, but he had 2 of the 5 I wanted from Europe (FSOL and Penguin Cafe Orchestra!).

I ordered from the Sweden shop last year. All 6 items were common, but Europe-only RSD releases. I ordered on Sunday. On Monday I received a confirmation email for 5 of the 6 items. One item was not available. They had already charged my credit card for the full order. I received the refund on the one item in about a week, but the shipping price was not refunded for this item. The order arrived within 2 weeks, but only 4 of the 5 items were in the package. At this point the time difference and the language barrier came into play as I tried to email them to sort out the problem. I eventually received a refund for the missing item, but it took a good month (and, again, I did not receive a refund for the shipping I had paid). The impression I had was that they were (1) friendly but (2) disorganized. I am going to wait and see if other dealers (Townsend / Norman perhaps) have the things I need this year.

Another thing about RSD Ebay sales: there are some vigilante / activist buyers out there who deliberately f--- with the flippers. These guys have no intention of really buying the overpriced title. They register with new names to Ebay and commit to buy expensive pre-order items, but then they do not pay. The seller has to wait for 48 hours before filing his non-paying complaint, and he has to wait two more days before he can cancel the order and re-list. In the meantime, RSD has come and gone and the prices have dropped sharply. Do this enough times and the flipping will stop ... -

Here's another store, We Got The Beats in Florida. They posted their inventory and pricing along with how many of each they ordered, and how many they received: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1g4Dl7V5obq9jEiZu8tjkPjvfnzBjWtiPnJms5QDyvCw/edit#gid=0 -

BTW, my sense is that Ebay listings are way down this year, by at least 1/3 or so. Pre-sales were way down as well. Every year I am around the computer this morning at exactly the same time trying to decide whether to go out shopping and which store to hit first. Definitely fewer listings on EBay so far than years past. -

This is a link to a priced UK list from Piccadilly Records (all prices in GBP). I saw some interesting things (for instance, the Bruce Springsteen is less expensive than the Iggy Pop, and it is much less expensive than the price in the USA). https://www.piccadillyrecords.com/RSD_2017_Product_List_PICCADILLY_RECORDS.pdf -
Record Store Day 2017
jackshidt replied to ethanpricington's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I subscribe to a lot of record store instagram feeds. Every store is putting up photographs of their setups for RSD. After looking at maybe 300 copies of, say, Motorhead, it just doesn't seem that record is hard-to-find to me any more. None of it does. I'm going to visit a couple of my local stores this afternoon. after the stores have emptied out. As for the early online sales tomorrow of unsold stock, every RSD I see the panic in the eyes of shopowners about 4PM in the afternoon when the good titles and the good stuff is gone and they're staring at 500+ unsold RSD titles in their bins and they realize that that unsold stock represents all their potential profits for the day. The sheer numbers of releases is overwhelming for store owners. Especially because you really don't have any idea what kind of a fill you can expect from your orders, and since you can't return the unsold stock. The smart ones are already planning their online / EBay strategies going forward for the unsold items. -

Amazon France seems to have stock in some good titles at reasonable prices. I ordered The Cars, Bruce Springsteen, U2 Picture Disc and the Mew Frengers.
