For any fans of dead prez on here, Get On Down records has released an official reissue of their legendary hiphop album Lets Get Free! Their selling it on their site for only about 20 bucks. I hadnt listened to the album since my teen years and remembered loving it so much that I couldnt pass it up for the price. Received it quickly today! standard weight vinyl,a very clean quiet pressing but volume wise plays very low.. but some people like pressings low so there ya go... Non gatefold but comes with a pretty large poster of the cover! Im somewhat surprised at how difficult its become to find their albums on vinyl now.I think rhino did a repress of world clique but didnt go any further with the other albums and even that reissue seems hard to find. I had to order a used original world clique from the uk for a decent price. Hopefully i'll get lucky finding dewdrops!

I usually NEVER buy duplicates of albums but ive always been tempted to purchase the debut reissue since it was my introduction to the world of bjork when i was a kid and because that beige vinyl was so enticing... so when a copy popped up online from a store i regularly shop from i had to grab it since it was only for 20bucks!! So happy i waited! Although ive seen many people say this one sounds amazing i wonder how it'll compare to my original black copy. Anyone know if they were pressed from the same plates? By the way not sure if it was mentioned before but the og debut&post are thin sleeves because they originally came with THICK pvc sleeves included...i think oli "cut alot of corners" with these&didnt bother updating the packaging yet didnt include the sleeve unfortunately

I luckily found the cassette for 8bucks plus free shipping! Was thinking about the vinyl but 40bucks is just a little ridiculous to me personally.. unless its an amazing pressing&special packaging which nothing to my knowledge has been reported as of yet. Im happy with my 2sided 8buck cassette vs 6sided album

Hi, If anyone happens to have a still playable (nm to vg/no skips) of Deee-lites dewdrops in the garden lp their willing to part with and sell at an affordable decent used vinyl price(uninflated)please PLEASE let me know!! I was in the deeelite fan club as a kid and loved this album to death but was only allowed cds back then since no turntable in my parents house but now as an adult i would love to finally own this on vinyl so please let me know if anyone is willing to sell. Yep plus bullmoose doesnt charge until its ready to ship! btw Amoeba now has these also! A little bit pricier but at least they also have talkie walkie, unlike bullmoose,in case anyones interested

Yea i dont know why their repressing moon safari tbh... i guess to be consistent?its been frequently in and out of print though since its release! Luckily i snagged a brand new eu repress of it for ten bucks awhile back. Sounds great too~ I would suggest grabbing the moon safaris already out there especially if its a euro pressing&cheaper than this repress for sure

The non boxset VS vinyl along with some of the other reissues are up on bullmoose&soundstage direct NOW! The albums besides VS,which is at a great price surprisingly, are a lil more than i usually like to pay but ive been wanting these forever so i think it'll be worth it personally for me to have them in my library finally Hopefully its a good quality pressing.. Strangely ive read that the reissues besides VS will be remastered :\ really hope they dont mess these up~

I was gonna take a chance on that one too.. but strangely the description says japanese edition in jewelcase,which had me fearing its just the japanese edition cd incorrectly listed as vinyl?:\Let us know what it turns out to be I'll just wait til then or until the standard reissue pops up

Good point! These have been pressed a few times before on black vinyl. It just seems the hype on the internet was everyone going crazy for them and one little indian selling out of them (multiple times?)etcMaybe i'll get a chance at debut for the homogenic price then! altho i already have it on black vinyl so may just save my $ :\

So you have biophilia and the blue disc has no surface noise at all?!You must be quite lucky because ive seen quite a few people post about it... but thought i'd take the chance anyway. What type of record player are you using?

Lol ive been collecting&admiring records prob since my early teens,so thats over a decade of years.. theres just a price point i refuse to cross, unless its super rare or my budget gets bigger,just because a reseller&buyers with higher budgets dictate a value haha. Thankfully decent reissues/represses are happening again&ppl who love music on physical formats, but live within budgets, dont have to spend 50+ on 1(used)record but thats a different topic~

Just read that the pocket symphony reissue will be on white vinyl again just like the original was!thank goodness i didnt try buying the original off ebay when bidding soared to almost 50bucks! I hope these reissues are decently priced in the US like the rsd 7" was...

I luckily have most of these on decently heavyweight original vinyl. I was missing biophilia and had a friend ship me one from MOMA luckily and was kind of shocked at how thin the vinyl was. Its bizarre they didn't bother using heavier weight vinyl also the crackling on the blue disc is strange&disappointing as well(luckily i got a great discount though). I also find it peculiar that for these to be "limited to 5000" that homogenic seems so easily accessible even after all the preorder&moma mayhem.. did they overpress only that one?

Been waiting for these reissues to happen forever!so happy they are, its like a dream come true considering how much originals go for!! Ive even contacted them before asking if reissues will happen and here they are! I doubt they'll be mastered from cds considering these are by the actual label&air, so should be as good as the originals since no "remastering"has been mentioned! Cant wait to preorder from a US site!
