  1. They won't go after users, only the admins/owners/people who leaked newest stuff. Regarding getting caught... if it happened it would be very easy to get off scott-free if you use wireless internet with no encryption. Problem is no one has tried to fight the RIAA (except the dumb person a couple months ago who had 1 computer + 1 account name + no wireless).
  2. The thing I don't get about Interpunk.com is it says released in 2006, but says reissue. I can only hope someone on the forums gets theirs tomorrow or thursday and we can see if there are any differences.
  3. I was one of the first people to post in the original thread and one of the first to order. My status still says "pre-order." I've been considering canceling and knocking my order down to 1 or 2 copies (I got 3), but I'm afraid that MerchDirect won't let me re-order right away. I wish we could get some numbers on this supposed "2nd pressing." Anyways, assuming these are EXACTLY that same as the 1st pressing, could anyone tell the difference between the 2?
  4. I know how alot of people hate that some people don't listen to their records but I haven't. I started collecting vinyl due to the artwork, the fact that I'd rather support a band via record instead of CDs, and the limited-ness of it. I'd love to get a nice $400 turntable but currently I've been checking out thrift stores for a fix-me-up. No luck so far though.
  5. Oh God.... I came up with a great idea for a record.. How about releasing either the EP, LP, or Live Version of "The Sound of Animals Fighting" stuff? Their past CDs were all put out on Equal Vision and the band just signed with Epitaph for their 3rd CD.
  6. ^^Not to promote piracy or anything but are you really gonna use a 128k .wma file? Why not just download it.
  7. Can someone please post a pic of these "splits" on covers or explain it better?
  8. I'm just curious as to where I can purchase clear poly sleeves for my albums to protect them? What would be a decent price?
  9. Cool. The site I was looking at purchasing it from was selling it for $22. $15 sounds good to me.
  10. Looks beautiful... where did you order it from and where can I get it for cheap? Is it limited at all? I'm curious as to why you bought 2?
  11. My Murder by Death Quadruple gatefold is falling apart at the seams. I really need to find some quality glue for it... maybe you guys can help?
  12. ^^Whoops, forgot to say... I collect both Vinyl records and Vinyl toys. I still collect comics but I've been trying to slow down the purchasing. $20 a week kills me, especially when I have a Vinyl Record/Figure habit to feed.
  13. It could be some people who cancelled or something. You never know, maybe people cancelled once they saw the status as "pre-ordered."
  14. ^^AH cool, glad to see I'm not the only toy collector. For the past few years I went from McFarlane >> Muppets >> Transformers. Lately I've been selling off all my Transformers toys, I plan on keeping my Muppet toys, and I've been getting into the Vinyl market... let me tell you... the Vinyl market is quite insane...
  15. As with many different hobbies, collectors are known to be anal regarding the overall condition of said collection. As a newcomer to the world of vinyl, I've noticed one thing when buying them - many have flaws. I recently purchased MewithoutYou's latest album on vinyl and noticed that the middle hole was cut incorrectly and there was a small spot missing around it. Obviously I'm not going to buy another one for such a small nitpick, but it is quite annoying. Another occurance happened today. My copies of Bear vs. Shark - Terrorhawk, and Right Now came from MerchNow. Terrorhawk is in flawless shape - I managed to get the Red/Yellow version. But Right Now... well, it was wrapped in cellophane plastic and the corner of the cover was slightly dinged and smashed. Is anyone else paranoid/anal about the condition of your vinyl records, covers, and cases? Am I the only one? I can only be terrified when it comes to my copy of Deja Entendu coming.
  16. Deadformat is pretty awesome but has anyone thought about making something like Vinylpedia? Similar layout to Wikipedia and allows users to edit and create pages whenever they want?
  17. I have it on my watched list, but chances are there might be some other VC people watching and it might lead to a bidding war Assuming the OP doesn't want it and the packaging is in (near) perfect shape, I'd take it. Hell, I may pick up the Tour Edition when I get a chance - but hands down the Magenta one is the most beautiful out of all of them.
  18. I'd be interested in a clear w/ magenta or clear w/ silver if anyone has them for sale.
  19. I have yet to hear Demo #1 (it didn't come in the package I got with the rest), but #2 is really good. I read somewhere that they've never played it live before though.
  20. ^^Also interested in the new song and the original demos (mine are incomplete, missing demo#1)
  21. Speaking of these, along with Young Machetes, are there any places with the actual picture of the vinyl and it's different colors? So many awesome colors to pick from!
  22. I'm currently without a turntable. I've check all of the Goodwills around here to salvage and possibly repair one but I haven't had any luck. I made a post on another forum regarding purchasing a turntable and it seemed that ALOT of people recommended the Technics SL1210MK2. While I'd LOVE to have such a nice player, I certainly don't have $400 to spend on a turntable currently. What would you guys recommend I purchase for as cheap as possible online?
  23. The "In Rainbows" discbox is one of the things that got me interested in vinyl. The sad thing is I don't know if I'm going to order it yet. With $80 I could easily pick up 6+ LPs from vinyl collective, and when I think of it that way the discbox just doesn't seem worth it. I'd imagine it will be a beautiful package, which is why I wanna see some extensive pictures and a review, but I don't want them to stop making them before I have a chance to order.
  24. Yeah, as someone who went to the 1st day of the tour in Detroit, I'm kinda upset. I mean, amazing show, but so far I've read that the 2nd Detroit show was longer and they played Jaws Theme (one of my fav songs) and at the Chicago show they played all of Devil and God, along with a new song (or one that isn't on one of their albums). Maybe I should just stop going to Detroit shows and start hitting up Cleveland or something. But if I did then getting a hotel would be a must. Bah.
