im gonna have to thank you for the insight. Did some reading up on 180 vs standard weight and i truly was one of those people who thought because it was thicker, the quality was better. I definitely have fallen for this gimmick a few times thinking grabbing the 180 version was superior to just getting the more reasonably priced standard (not always the case).

haha, didnt mean to sound so cynical. Dont get me wrong, i wish i would have pre-ordered just for the red wax. Just never big on purchasing autographs but cool to see you guys are getting them early! tbh, i wouldnt know much about that, i always assumed it was better if the weight was higher. Drop some knowledge on me! I also wasnt trying to downplay the red variants weight, i was just genuinely curious. Best believe if the red variant becomes available again, ill be snatching it up with the quickness.

BUT i am jealous of those slabs of red wax. Just saw in one of my record stores newsletter that there will be a 180 gram version on black soon. Any word on the weight of the red variants?

I held out for the same reasons as the others here, since i dont care for the autograph and the t-shirt. Really, really hope there will be some red variants available later

i noticed the fella above me who also put the jacket in the picture seems to correspond to the vinyl color. my cover is blue and so is my record, DOMAN27's looks like its also kinda a light green like his jacket. anyone else can confirm or debunk?

getting a variant of this reminded me again how great this record is. on another anderson binge. for the duplicate copies, has this happened to everyone? only opened my newbury version as of now, not sure if my turntable lab one has the problem yet. the newbury version is so nice

Good afternoon, I hope this is allowed since im pretty new here but really enjoy the board. Well straight to the point, i really love this record a lot, it instantly made an impression on me and have been overplaying the album since it came out. DVSN announced its vinyl release and i do see some black copies available in places like Turntablelab but there is one thing that keeps racking my brain and when i searched initially, i see places like MerchBar, Bullmoose, and interpunk having the record listed as a "Purple" version. So im confused as to if its a separate release, variant version by OVO or if it was intended to be purple at first but they switched their minds and decided to just do black versions instead. Either way ill be buying this record but i just want to see if anyone knows or just find some clarification on the release. If you guys havent yet, and love some R&B with crisp downtempo beats, i highly recommend these guys. Made up of a singer and daniel daley and nineteen85 under drakes label OVO sound. My favorites are "with me", "too deep", "try" and "do it well"

looks like newbury comics still has them available. I think this album is great and i believe its going to grow on many people down the line and in retrospect will be regarded as a very quality album by DIIV

thank you guys for keeping up with the shops. Pre-ordered from fatbeats, finally a place that isnt charging 14 bucks for shipping within the US. I hate to be stubborn but 14 bucks for a record is pretty unreasonable
