My latest "I gotta have" addiction is Chuck Ragan. Just got the single series, a few other of his singles. Feast or Famine red..Really I just need a 1st press Los Feliz and I REALLY need Work the Bank 7", I think that's the only 7" i need. Now I don't have every color.......well yet anyway

Well, part of my over excessivness is....I used to collect records many years ago. Made some REALLY bad choices and sold all my shit. Regret it still today. Anyways, I bought my 1st record again, a month ago. I got some serious catching up to do...so I think, cuz there's a hundred more records I want RIGHT now. Moderation, I know. And I'll try. Hey does anyone want to sell a copy of...... OK, OK Just kidding.

So I checked my paypal spending back to May 27th and added it up.....$951!!!!!! I feel so dirty! No I don't but, SHIT. I have gone on a vinyl binge! And thats not including a handful of orders done w/o paypal! Remember my name, if I try to buy ANYTHING from you say.....In the next 2 weeks say NO! I need help. OK so 2 weeks ain't very long, but, lets just start with 2 weeks.

Addiction sucks....I suggest maybe trying some of the herbal remedies and see if they work. But if you must get a script to something good, I mean addictive. FOLLOW AS PRESCRIBED. I myself can't take NUTHIN good, I mean addictive. But thats ONLY me. If I take a xanax i want more, and more and then a few more. Then what?? I self medicate with REAL stuff....and I'm off to the races! .....BUT as I said thats just a personal problem I have.....But for real, AS PRESCRIBED....

Ok, I just saw the poll counter at the top.....I did forget, now when one says "famous" in what way? Musicly it's Elvis as I said above.....But one thing MJ has for him that would make him "more famous" is all the crap he's been in with the cases he went to court for, all that extra publicity put him more in the spotlight. that would be the ONLY reason, he may be able to claim more fame. AND I DON'T THINK THAT SHOULD COUNT

There is only one "King" and that is Elvis. That is my personal opinion. Everyone is right in one way or another. But I would say these numbers here say it all. Right? I mean everyone knows who they are, so in that point it's all about who you like better. But if these #1's and weeks in BOTH the UK and US are right.....case closed.

Just saw him Sunday in Dallas. I was not happy with such a short set....but other than that it was all good. It was a poor turnout...Fuck Dallas, where the hell is everyone? Maybe thats why it was a short set. Anyways...last time I saw him for the Revival tour, most songs he had other people playn with him on stage. This one it was just him and his guitar, and he was Fuckin GREAT. He really is a badass singer....he played a few new songs too...

The Good ole 40 daze. Yeah, the era I'm talkin about I was under 21 too. And we would always find someone to buy us 40's. Magnum 40's...If I recall they were like 80 sum cents....maybe cheaper on sale! I hear ya on the "old"....I'm gettin' up there myself.

Violence and cops and more violence. Kind of unfortunate so many shows gotta be that way. I don't think it's nearly as bad nowadays, but shit still happens. I remember a time when it was a fuckn bitch to find all age shows here in Dallas. And half the time the cops would end the show early. We had to find places for bands to play, were ever we could. I remember a long time age Plaid Retina and i think a few other lookout bands, had to play in one of those fucking storage units....yeah a storage unit. I can't remember all the details (I have burnt a few brain cells since) .but of coarse it got shut down early. One time Nuerosis came thru, and the show was at some fuckn park that had some kind of indoor place to play....I think there were maybe 30 people, including band members.....Yeah there was nowhere to play and not enough ways to get word out for people to come. Fugazi played at some warehouse one time, and the police and fire department came....Made everyone leave the building for fire code reasons.....But they still played, we couldn't see 'em but everyone just listined from outside in the gravel parking lot as if they were right there.Pit and all, even diving off a uhaul truck. .....not the most exiting stories but just a few bits of memories...

They are playn House of Blues here...much smaller. Tix start at $25. Dallas is dying, it seems less and less people are shown up for good shows, which means less bands coming thru. Curious if I need to worry about selling out though. I guess for what they are costing in other cities, I'd be stupid not to go.....original line up!

I personally HATE the warped tours....I only went to the one. (2nd I think). Really I don't even like huge arena's and crap either. I LIKE VENUES, smaller the better. More "cozy" so to speak. And better chance of having good sound than all that open space.

OK, I'm starting to feel more inclined to spend the money...it IS original line up. I guess if I can get 2 tickets fer $70 I had better go.

I love Van Halen with Sammy!!! Ok I'm joking! The Pogues w/o Shane would not be the same...he's right. I would really like to catch that show in Dallas. I just don't know about spending so much money to see them. I think ticket prices may start about $25. Which is more like 35-40 after service charges....and then I'd have to get my girlfriend one, now I'm lookin at 70-80....I just think I may have to sit this one out, but damnit, who knows if I'll get another chance....I don't know yet....I have some time to think about it.

Another one, Warped Tour, Summer Set, Wisconsin.....I wanna say the 2nd one maybe. NOFX, Rancid, Voodoo Glow Skulls, etc...... Anyways I took my younger brother. His FIRST concert ever. He musta been bout 14 maybe 15. Anyways, NOFX was about to start. The crowd was fucking dense. I already had someone ready to throw me on top of everyone to crowd surf right when the 1st song started....the second the first chord was struck I got about a foot or two off the ground and got stuck....Soooooooo many people it took a few to FINALLY get up there. Then Fuck it didn't seem like I was ever gonna get down! people everywhere, and I hit a week spot and started sinking, THEN a few other people started getting tossed towards me...next thing I new I had people on top of me below me, and I couldnt even move a muscle. And I was trying my damndest. Probably wasn't as long as it seemed, but closterphobic struck me like a ton of bricks to the head. Was not very comforting. So I finally got outa that mess, and then it struck me...My brother has never been in anything like this in his life...And it was a pretty rough crowd. So then I spent a few looking all over for him. Ha, and I found him....He's jumping up n down like a madman with a bootprint on his for forhead and a grin ear to ear......Hav'n a great time. NOFX was the shit....I'm not big on the outdoor "festival" like tours, But I would have to say that day was Fun and a lot of cool bands. That one was actually OZ fest AND Vans Warped TOGETHER same day! With a big hill splittin the two. Metal on one side punk on the other....fun times

What are some shows (concerts) you have been to that were memorable in some way. The best or worst. Anything about it whether it be about the band and how good or bad they played. the crowd, lack of crowd, what ever. (I can't remember all due to alcohol) When I went to see.....GG Allin "terror in America" tour. Dallas at a place called....I think it was Common Grounds at the time. Never quite been to a show like that one. 1st show I had ever been to that people gather in the back rather than in front of stage before headliner goes on. Of coarse he comes out naked...unless you count the boots and hat he was wearing. He comes out and says, "FUCK YOU DALLAS I'M GG ALLIN", And the 1 guy in front (the only one) says fuck you GG...and in a blink GG is on top of him wailing away, rolling on the ground (he is naked) Anyways this is before he even plays a single song. So...I don't want to make this long...But he smashes somebodys video camera, A few times full drinks and beer cans started getting wailed back n forth. Not tossed...winding up and throwing them HARD... There was a group of people running in and out the front door, when it got a bit outa hand. When he whipped the mic stand out it gashed someones arm ....I think he had to leave to get stitches. All in all...I am glad I got to experience a GG show before he died. Oh yeah, ...end of show, everyone was talkin about jumping GG. He had his van pulled up to the garage to load equipment...everyone started throwing bottles and rocks @ the van. Not sure what happened inside, but saw him run thru the back of the van to the drivers seat. As he is pulling off the drivers window gets shattered, he's going down the street with a flat tire, maybe two and the van doors open and flailing back n forth. Over all he did sound like shit, but was very entertaining and crazy as Fuck. He was bloodied and I was glad shit (real shit)wasn't thrown at this show...he's known for it. So, who have you seen, howd they play, what happened do they suck live, better live, did no one show, cops show, lets here it.

Anyone have Chuck Ragan's Work the Bank 7"????? SOMEONE must have it to sell. The other ones I think I've worked out......I may still be looking for pink Valentine. I will know soon if I still need that one. And by the way about the Chuck Ragan show last: I thought he played a bit of a short set, but other than that it was good. Last time I saw him, on the Revival tour someone played with him I think every song, violin, bass, back vocals etc.. Last night is was just him and his guitar alone.....And he did a GREAT job, I think he's one of the best singer song writers out ther, And when he fuckn sings his songs, he REALLY sings them..blows me away a bit how some songs just kinda make your hairs stand, and he's got some of those.....Anyways if he's in your town check him out. NM, NV, and California dates are next....then european tour....And if I recall He will be making another round after that for another Revival Tour. Oh yeah, he played a few songs from his new album "Gold Country" coming out in September, and they were really good too.

Yeah, I just got the series...well I'm waiting for it. I already paid N waitin'. I didn't get some of the rarer colors in it....Oh yeah, I'll even trade any one of my series colors, If you would trade one that is a rarer color...And I would also pay some extra $ in the trade. That way anyone with the complete series can still keep it complete. BUT, as I said I am still waiting so I can't do that right away...I also would need to see the condition I get them in, wouldn't want to give you something beat up...They are supposed to be great condition though.
