  1. aw zac wolf. best dude. bought me dinner once. hooked up tour shows. politely asked permission to put the band i toured with on comps and then gave us a whole bunch for free...aw best dude, i'm glad he's doing good stuff up there.
  2. i just blasted all of "all things move" and hospitals in our warehouse, probably pissing off my coworkers. you'd have a friend if i still worked there haha.
  3. saw them tonight. so anti-climatic. they are grossing about 40,000 a night, though. no merch. kids go nuts for them. and i hated almost every single person there. that being said, they are giving away free screen-printed tour posters in the shape of a cross. printed on lighter paper, but gold on black displaying all of the dates.
  4. YOU AINT STRAIGHT! i can pretend. i also just remembered another simpsons referenced band. kid gorgeous. god damn it i miss that band, too.
  5. haha down. i'll sing and we can be astraight edge band.
  6. it's a 2x7". being sold for $10. two variants. disc 1 on color a disc 2 on color b and disc 1 on color x and disc 2 on color y.
  7. Not sure if you read my responses in the other threads about buying records for profit, but I have never said I support any sort of buying for profit. And I'd say you've got some points (Out of respect. I honestly don't agree with any of what you said), but then you break out stupid terms like "happy in the butt" and "butt hurt". : The closest to "flipping" I've come is selling a copy of Reinventing Axl Rose on eBay, which fetched a whopping $5.50. (I had paid $12.99+shipping thinking it was a different color) I haven't, which is fine. Because the idea was that, generally speaking, why are the circumstances different than for any other record? Someone did something cool and people are spoiling it. Great. Communism was a great idea, too. You shouldn't disregard the validity of my arguments because of the terminology I used while wicked burnt out.
  8. i got it from a friend who went over there with him. this crazy looking, and you sell it for cheap, how you can afford to do that is beyond me.
  9. it is a shit market right now. man. i have been trying every single day for the past few weeks.
  10. i have one of these. i should probably listen again. it's been almost two years since i did.
  11. awesome. if i had a job, i would totally do that. but i don't. and i don't want you playing "neighbor pranks" on me. because i will smoke until your entire apartment smells like william borroughs asshole.
  12. What? And if Jordan hears about this, I doubt he'll be sending any more out, if he even has any more. Funniest part is that none of this argument would've been brought up had the seller not posted this thread. I mean it's not like people who are interested wouldn't have found it on their own. what i'm basically saying is. why is it okay to flip other records but not this one? because there's an unadvertised source that MIGHT have a few left and MIGHT sell you one for $10 if you can find the contact information? What makes this different? That a lot of people on this board are happy in the butt for against me and have shared some time with the guy that put this out? I just don't get how everyone is so butt-hurt about this, but there's an entire forum of people here selling records for far more than what they paid for them, and a whole lot of people here who purchase records for far more than what they were purchased for. you can't pay your bills on hopes and dreams, and if you don't want a record anymore, who the fuck is anyone to stop you from getting what someone else is willing to pay for it and you buying more records and supporting other artists/people. this entire thread is basically a bunch of people spewing hypocritical non-sense about ethics while at the same time contradicting that they believe in those ethics by participating in the buying/selling/re-selling of records. i realize that overall everyone tries to help the other people on the board out and hook 'em up with cheaper prices. but if you're going to whine about this being "wrong" and "un-ethical" then you should only trade and re-sell records for what you paid for them, you shouldn't buy into the ideals of supply and demand and the increase of items in "value". if you're going to stand up for ethics or a cause, do it, don't create double standards.
  13. its not about whats legally acceptable. its about whats ethically acceptable. i mean being a stripper is legal, it doesn't mean you're actually a human being tho. within the same ethic, i don't find it ethically acceptable to sing about anarchy on a stage at festivals around the country sponsored by the military. makes you no better than the spineless politicians you sing about. do i think they've paid their dues? of course, but do things they do fit their ethics? no. additionally, i don't think it's okay to pick a fight with someone, get your ass handed to you, and then lie to publications that your fans read to save face and make yourself seem like you're the victim. you can buy a copy of a lot of records for 8-10 dollars new, but because it's on a different color and from an earlier pressing, it's okay to buy/sell that for more? but those ethics escape this record because there's a good dude selling it for 10 bucks. this is a moot argument, dudes gonna do what a dudes gonna do.
  14. please accept my apologies sal. i feel quite a bit embarrassed. :-[ and i agree with you wholeheartedly. think mr reznor wants to earn a bit of extra cash. no worries dude, i didnt read any of the thread except to see wtf this was all about and then got mad.
  15. QFT. Hands down, the best thing they ever released. as far as im concerned its the only thing theyve ever released. i stopped remembering this band existed after i heard clients.
  16. possession 9/10s of the law. he paid for it, he can do what he wants. at least he's admitting he feels like a douche bag/is being a douche bag, whatever you want to call it. that's more than tom gabel can say.
  17. skrewdriver, because you can't sell skrewdriver stuff on ebay, so a lot of it is disguised, and then i wind up getting 30,000 rolling stones "tumblin dice" 45s. hum, because i dont give a fuck about u2. and im sick of seeing rattle & hum every time i want a copy of downward is heavenward.
  18. the reality of the situation is that non-physical media will become the standard, because it already fucking has. people use ipods, the industry is adjusting. there is absolutely nothing different about pre-ordering a digital copy of a record than there is pre-ordering a physical copy of it. the record has a release date, you will have the record by that release date. that's the idea, for the supplier to get the product to the consumer as quickly as possible. but it doesn't matter, because someone will post it for free somewhere. if i came into your house and took the equivalent of the artists royalty for the amount of times people steal any given independent record, let alone a major record, in the first day or two that it's posted on-line, you'd be sad as fuck, living in an empty house, and i'd be selling your girlfriend on the corner for you to be able to pay up. music is a business, all of this free loving liberal punk art shit that we in one way or another relate to, it's a business, people pay for music, people pay for the convenience. why would you buy a cd if you have an ipod and a special docking system in your car for it? people dont want cds, they want music for their ipods. if it's coming out of the speakers, and you're supporting a band you like, who cares if the media is physical or not, you pay for a live performance, that's non-physical media. if you're getting yours and they're getting theirs, who gives a shit? im not trying to be a dick, i know im coming off like one, ive been up all night, i'm crazy irritable and i don't understand how everyone is so confused.
  19. is this a reference to me? man, i just want a copy of the deluxe edition and dont think that i should be shafted by enormous, totally unwarranted shipping costs coz i dont live stateside. NIN / A&R have responded to my email saying theres no plans for foreign distro (yet). they stated that its only going to be available online. oh and of course, if anyone wants to help me out, i will return the favour for euro type release(s). no, trent reznor.
