Agreed.  While I can be a sucker for a good covers album, most of the choices here seem to be pretty uninspired and typical.  Automatic disqualification for "Kids in America."  The world doesn't need another cover of this fucking song for a very long time.

That was the only highlight of his No Fun Monday’s series. The others were cool..I guess. But Kids In America is the only one I’ve listened to more that once.

Got my record today. Looks amazing. Can’t even tell it’s a boot.
I’m currently on side B right now... so far, Everything Evil sounded real fuzzy. I assume it’s because it’s the last song on side A. The next thing that I noticed was on the first song of side B, Delerium Trigger, when it gets to the part where Claudio says “it’s coming up and out of your chest. Remember when we were young?”

my copy goes “it’s coming up and out of your chest. Remember when... *skip* ...est. Remember when we were young?” Hopefully I explained it well. It’s not a skip. It’s the music.

I’ll keep listening to see if I notice anything else.

    Mine does the same.

    Personally, I don’t think so.

That was their first major label album and it’s already seen a repress a few years ago. So, at least, Columbia knows what they have. Even the ...Keeping Secrets... repress, from a few years ago, seem to be pushed/spearheaded by of Columbia.

I have no fuckin idea why Equal Vision hasn’t done anything with SSTB in 9 years. It’s still strange to me that they didn’t press it, on initial release. I really hope something, official, does come about. We’ll probably have to wait another couple years for that. I missed out on their record in 02 and in 2011, I’m ready haha

Here’s something though: What would the track break down be for a double LP? Would it make sense, in that sense?

I ended up purchasing my 2011 tour copy for $20 at the merch table, having it stolen in 2016, the fucker then sold it to a local record store, and then I bought it back from the record store for $20 again. When you get your copy, don’t let it out of your sight LOL.

Ive inquired about this and gotten no response. They do have a discount subscription though, and its worth it if youre someone like me who buys everything they put out no matter what. The longer you choose, the cheaper it is. You can even buy in for 20 years. Heres a link:

Indeed, 20 Buck Spin has been killing it as of late. I feel like they'e entering late 80's-early 90's Earache quality in terms of band signings and releases.

I wish they would do an annual membership plan, I would be all over that in an instant.

I asked about this a few months? ago and basically the response was it’ll happen when it happens. It’s in the works, it just takes time.

Here's a record worth checking out ASAP: the new Valdrin. As of now, there are still some of the splatter variant available to those willing to pay for international shipping (like I am). This album slays.

Just got back from seeing them.  I grabbed a tour variant because I’m a nerd and wanted the booklet that comes with it..  It’s awesome and worthwhile, though the vinyl is nothing special.  Superstition played before them and blew me away.  Definitely made it difficult to get into Tomb Mold’s set after that beat down, but they were still solid.

I missed Superstition but Tomb Mold murdered their set. Really enjoyed their energy. Got a tour pressing too, Derrick signed it and wrote some lyrics from a previous album.

What variant did you get?  Gregg is a swell guy.  I decided to go all-in on collecting them since i have every variant of Binary Opposition and both jewel case and digi-sleeve versions of the S/T CD.  He wasn't sure which variant(s) the band still had last I talked to him a few days ago.

It was actually the Foxglove variant, not the Bell Heather. Makes sense as to why it’s cream rather than pink.
