Mine was delivered today.  I'm not impressed with the Limited Edition schwag, but the albums themselves sound amazing. In hindsight spending $55 or so on it probably wasn't that smart but whatever.

WTF.  I think we paid enough for the album and for shipping that they should be able to guarantee safe/undamaged arrival.  The fact that they are saying no returns for damage done during shipping is BS and basically admitting that they know that shit is going to be bad.

Thanks.  I skimmed back a few pages but since this topic is no longer about the release it's kind of hard to find any useful information about it.

I think Procrastinate said they would begin shipping the middle of this month.  If we don't hear anything by Friday via email, I'm assuming we are all probably out of the $50 or so we all paid.

This is one of the worst sounding albums I have ever owned.  I have my volume just about as loud as it can go, and its still not loud.  Lots of poppping and cracking as well.  WTF did SRC Vinyl do?

Hello and thank you for your patience. Below is an update regarding physical orders of Brand New’s Science Fiction.

Standard vinyl pre-orders have been shipping out to customers with more shipping every day until all copies are delivered.

The Limited vinyl unit is facing an unfortunate brief delay from our pressing plant, but we expect to be able to ship orders to all customers by mid-November.

If you pre-ordered the CD without a Science Fiction vinyl or shirt, your order has been shipped. If you did not receive yours, feel free to contact [email protected] at your earliest convenience (US only).

Science Fiction shirts are shipping in the next 2 weeks.

Regarding the vinyl release in Australia and UK/Europe: Standard vinyl will be shipping in mid-November.

Thank you for sticking with us as we work to get all orders out as quickly as possible.

Should we start taking bets on how long the next delay will be?

I've been listening to download and it's not that bad.  It's definitely not their best work, but it's not their worst either.

Unfortunately due to a delay with shipping from the vinyl plant, there is a slight delay of getting the products in our facility to fulfill the vinyl orders.  We are estimating that the vinyl is received at our warehouse this week and depending on your location, it will be delivered to you by Wed/Thu or sooner next week. 

We would also like to give you an early access of the full album today!

Once these items arrive to our facilities all orders will be immediately shipped and you will receive tracking via email!

Here is the reply I got from them ...

"Hello, the Science Fiction album you purchased is still on pre-order.

If you ordered the album on CD, all orders have been shipped unless you also purchased vinyl or a shirt in the same order.

There has been a factory delay in vinyl production, but we're expecting to start shipping standard vinyl orders in the next week.

You will receive tracking information via email when your order ships. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we are unable to inform you of the exact day that any order will ship. We're shipping out orders as soon as we have the product.

Thank you and we appreciate your patience."

I'm curious as well as to what the Limited Vinyl release gets me.  I think it was like $45 and I felt like a moron for dropping that much on it without knowing what was included.  Anyone have any ideas?
