Hm. You would end up with lighter records that would cost less to ship and records that weigh less, would have less of an impact on the environment in shipping since they would require less fuel to move... There's a reason!

If you throw some terms into the good ole googler, you can read some pretty cool articles on the history of 45's, records, "the industry" and so on... But as far as continuing to press records with large holes, I think it it comes down mainly to aesthetics. Some bands want to have that vintage "single" feel to their record.

People will need more than 10 each, since we are planning on doing 25 different colors.

There is only going to be one repress of 5000. There will be some different colors and all that. But that information is not ready for public consumption just yet.

I actually found another box of older records that I might put up in the store. I used to put SO many records aside for friends, dudes in other bands, "just in case" copies... who knows. Every 6 or so months, I stumble thru these boxes and come to the realization that there's really no need to have 10 copies of a record that came out 5 years ago. If a buddy wanted it, they would have asked by now... So screw it.

There are no Indecision / MPB records in there.
