That is exactly as the record is supposed to be. Each side has the same songs. It's not a mispress.

This record has achieved its well deserved classic status. Though not vinyl, I was surprised, week after week, when I would get sent the charts for Newbury Comics sales, it was consistently in the top 50 CD's almost every week from like 2003 - 2006. When I saw this on vinyl, I bought it without a second thought, and made sure that we carry it in our store. It's a record that you end up scolding someone for not hearing or owning. "How don't you have this yet? What is wrong with you? Buy it NOW!"

I love vinyl. I love collecting. But when it comes down to it, there are always about a million other things going on that are "more important" that updating the pressing info on our site. And another "when it comes down to it" weird variants and off-colors drive me up a fucking wall. I mean, it's cool that they exist, and they get out there, but trying to count everything that comes in, and making distinctions between "blue-green" and "greenish blue" make my head explode. Especially when being backed up by a chorus of "WHERE'S MY PREORDER???" emails and message board posts... In the beginning, we used to count everything, examine records, lay them out on the floor, making distinctions between this or that... but like I said, other things get in the way of that. One of the coolest things about using Pirates Press has always been getting EXACTLY what you order. Sure, I miss weird variations, but I don't miss trying to remember that there are 7 records of the 1st press where the splatter looks more like haze, and 50 copies of the least rare color that are actually on white instead of grey, and why are there 15 on black? I didn't order anything with black... did I write this down? Where is that piece of paper? Shit... was it 7 or 17? Huh? Ok, let's go to the post office now...

"our thing"??? and whats wrong with the Beatles or Pink Floyd and what makes you think mom and pops will only want to carry huge bands from the 70s??? Personally, I think a rise in vinyl popularity wont do anything but help small labels. Well, what makes me say that is the experience of getting fewer copies of records into stores that 2 - 3 years ago took way more, while at the same time expanding their vinyl section, and being told that they don't have it in their budget because of all of the rock reissues... We do sell far more vinyl now directly than years past, and more in places that we didn't before (Hot Topic) but we have definitely seen numbers drop in other stores that used to be very strong. And, obviously, things like Vinyl Collective are just amazing. But I am speaking on a specific aspect of this new rise in vinyl popularity, and a strange side effect of it. EDIT: And "our thing" was in quotes intentionally, moderately tongue in cheek, as a few years back, major label releases were not released on vinyl, we all know this... So my records didn't have to "compete" for rack space with the new Bruce Springsteen LP (or whatever)

Not only will it kill the rise in popularity, it seems to also have an effect on some smaller indie labels... vinyl used to be "our thing" and getting LPs into mom and pops was pretty easy... now we have to compete with the fucking Beatles and Pink Floyd for shelf space... cool.

I have an order of these on the way, not sure of the grey area this involves with distro items due to End Of A Year being a Deathwish band... regardless... we are getting them, and they are INCREDIBLY expensive, but we are getting them in, and will have them at some point within the next few weeks / month. The new End Of A Year 7" is mixed, and ready for mastering by the way. Artwork should be ready before Christmas, and we are already talking about their LP... just figured I would throw that in...

There were a couple West Coast labels we used to get stuff from for the Deathwish eStore that would send packages media mail, and they took, on average, 2 - 3 weeks to get to us. Boxes would show up, and I would think... wait... didn't we already get these? Oh no... it just took that long for them to show up.

Seriously. you have some good shit in there. Buy them.

These are not up. When they go up, you will know, it will be posted here. It will be posted as a myspace bulletin. It will go out with the newsletter. It will be posted all over the internet.

when do you think the vinyl will be released? I was completely unaware they were releasing another record until you posted this, so seriously, thanks for posting this here! This band is easily one of my current favorites! Due to the rest of the world "suddenly" getting hip to vinyl, our pressing plant is backed up, and we are looking at manufacturing turn around twice the normal time. If we were able to have more information from our manufacturer as to when it would be ready, we would provide that information. It's currently getting plated / test pressings made, and we'll know more down the line. When we do, more detailed pre-order information will be made available to one and all. For the record. (pun intended) This LP is going to look fucking incredible.
