  1. That's what they said to me when I called too. Trying to quiet the part of me that wants to say "Can't wait till this vinyl craze dies down..."
  2. Get an expedit. You can put knick knacks, tschochkes, and brickabrack in the spaces with no records.
  3. I can't recall the technical reasons, but outer grooves of the record sound better than the inner grooves. I tried to find the email that had all the hi tech mumbo jumbo, but I believe when I was told this it was via phone. But yeah, outside always sounds better than inside.
  4. what are they limited to? i thought i had read A389 said it was a 100 but i guess im wrong. There are 150 of this color combo.
  5. what are they limited to? i thought i had read A389 said it was a 100 but i guess im wrong. We didn't get all of the boxes at the same time...
  6. The t shirt package option for the COLISEUM and END OF A YEAR 7" pre orders will be coming down within the next 24 hours. So if you want to get the shirt with the 7", then now is your LAST CHANCE!!!! End of a Year started as a way to kill time for Albany musicians already involved in full-time bands. Having spent time playing "heavier" music, the initial End of a Year line-up was interested in trying something more overtly melodic. After releasing a number of releases End of a Year caught the attention of Revelation Records, and in 2006 they released the "Sincerely" album on that label. Since the release of "Sincerely", End of a Year have released a number of 7"EPs and split 7"EPs on various labels worldwide. Their latest release (and first on Deathwish) is a fantastic 7"EP recorded by End of a Year guitarist Andrew Duggan. Picking up where previous releases left off, the hook laden opener "Robert E. Howard" explodes with a discordant crash and bang. A fitting sonic backdrop to vocalist Patrick Kindlon's uniquely honest and poetic diatribe. This theme carries into the other two songs on the release "Gray Morrow" and "Walter Miller Jr". Collectively all three songs carry an organic ebb and flow that brings to mind the ghost of Rites Of Spring as well as other influential Revolution Summer-era DC bands. This release features original artwork from acclaimed artist Erol Otus, illustrator of the early Dungeons & Dragons franchise. Collectors Note: There are 3 colorways of this 7"EP. If you order 3 copies, we'll do our best to get you all three colorways. Founded by Ryan Patterson (Black Cross, National Acrobat) over a half decade ago, and since solidified by Mike Pascal and Chris Maggio, Coliseum have grown to become today's quintessential contemporary hardcore/punk band. Successfully melding their progressive musicianship, punk fervor, and vital political/social awareness into one intense vision. Originally based in straight-ahead hardcore and classic punk, Coliseum have continued to progress with each recorded effort. Before finding a permanent home on Relapse records in 2006, Coliseum released music on both Ryan's own Auxiliary label, as well as on Level Plane Records. Coliseum's first full length for Relapse, "No Salvation", was released in the summer of 2007 and was met by praise from critics and kids alike. To celebrate the longtime friendship between Coliseum and Deathwish, we are proud to announce the release of Coliseum's "True Quiet / Last Wave" 7"EP. Featuring artwork by friend John Dyer Baizley (Baroness, Kylesa, Cursed), "True Quiet / Last Wave" gives us the first taste of Coliseum's evolution since 2007's "No Salvation". The hook laden A Side "True Quiet" takes hold with its all too familiar story of self imposed isolation, told to a dc influenced metallic jangle. While the percussively driven B Side "Last Wave" serves as a hair raising commentary on the ethical and economical darkness of our present day. Both songs collectively embodying the honest artistry that defines Coliseum at their very core. The first 1000 copies of this 7"EP features a special two piece vellum cover/insert, a stunning homage to Pushead's Bacteria Sour vinyl packaging experiments. THIS VERSION IS ONLY AVAILABLE THROUGH THIS PRE-ORDER, order now to insure you receive this deluxe edition!!! Collectors Note: There are 2 colorways of this 7"EP. If you order 2 copies, we'll do our best to get you all colorways.
  7. I think I have a version of this in a "ebay these one day" pile... I think it's a Euro version? If you want to drop me a line go for it.
  8. Vinyl is generally not returnable from store to distributor.
  9. haha sounds about right Pretty much yeah.
  10. You are lucky that you can just toss cardboard in with your other stuff.... We aren't allowed to. It's cool that you have a nice young lady all stoked on recycling. We have an old weird dude named Warren who takes our cardboard. Not cute.
  11. I thought it was haze, not splatter? Splatter is still made by using pellets, but haze is made with powder. Yes. It is the haze. The dust comes from the small bits that they use to make the haze, it is created form the friction of the millions of pieces being moved around in the giant vinyl "bags" It get in the air, and ends up in the sleeves. It should not cause any problems at all with playing, just clean the record.
  12. I've literally felt like jumping out a window when I have had this happen. It's always been a basic thing with me... a stray piece of wire or whoops, forgot to ground it.
  13. vellum = cool expensive partially seethruable paper that is an incredible pain in the ass to print on but looks bad ass...
  14. Just 12 hours left! http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/deathwishinc http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/deathwishinc http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/deathwishinc
  15. How so? Im talking about labels in general, and you start sticking up for this label because its people you know. And you make this perfectly clear by mentioning names...which I consider name dropping. It's not name dropping... We're actual friends...
  16. Yes, we save records. We put multiple copies of everything aside, in our closet. We have done 4 eBay auctions since starting, and have absolutely no problem with it. We trade records with friends, give them away to friends, give them away to people in our bands, give them away to people who stop by the office and ask "Hey, do you have _____ on _____?" etc. Sometimes we put some records aside, and a couple months later we realize that we have none left, even for ourselves, and our personal collections. Sometimes we put aside 20 copies of a record for friends and whatnot, and a year later, there are 19 copies left. What then? As far as getting rich goes... god I fucking hope so... We have so many records coming out this year and those cost a lot to do...
  17. I was just thinking that as well. I'd love to see DW do this. You can order from our site with an iPhone. I tested this today.
