  1. Nice! You guys are the best keep forgetting...will update site shortly...
  2. taking them out of their jewel cases is just so much work. we tried it on the 50 cd sales and it took us forever. but email me and I will work out combinging to save on shipping for you. And that shit really hurts your fingers after a couple hundred... Ouch.
  3. I am truly confused as to why you would insist on someone going thru all these preparations, and hassle on how to properly package it, and then send it bargain basement style using media mail. If the COST of shipping the record is truly an issue...then you must not be dealing with records that you attach any real value to...correct? If you were getting a record worth some $$$ then it shouldn't matter how much it costs to mail it. There just seems to be this weird irony of using bubble wrap, cardboard shims, record mailers, then mailing it AS CHEAPLY AS POSSIBLE... which also, of course, is the slowest, which means more time for the record to bounce around and possibly get damaged further.
  4. We were told going into this project that not using labels could result in some records having "off sized" holes. The reasoning has something to do with the labels lending to the size, and structure of the hole itself, not entirely sure, but we were told this, and we did come across a few that really jumped out as being "bad" which we tossed. It was something we felt was worth the chance due to the overall aesthetic of the record. It really shouldn't affect play, if you are careful with placing it, and don't actually mosh near your record player. If you did not receive a download code with your order, please send me an email - [email protected] - WITH YOUR ORDER NUMBER and make the subject "Missing download code" and I will help you out.
  5. Just stick a pen in the hole and roll it around.
  6. There's really no need to do that yet... Take a breather.
  7. Hot Topic has been getting behind vinyl for a while now. Sometimes, very surprisingly so, with numbers that rival what they would take in for CDs. Which is good. And getting exclusive colors IS their thing now that they are going for. Say what you will about HT being corny or whatever, but they legitimately get behind the indies, and are real helpful. No joke. Way more so than ANY other chain out there.
  8. There are turntable specific levels out there...if we are going to get all super nerdy... http://www.tracertek.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=150 Ug, that one is expensive... Here. http://www.turntablebasics.com/

  10. ...for the record, I haven't ripped anything, and not really planning on it, I just got it to listen to shit live, as it spins. I need to be more intentional with my listening. It's probably the best purchase I have made in a while...
  11. http://www.amazon.com/Numark-TTUSB-Turntable-with-USB/dp/B000G3FNVM/ref=pd_ys_qtk_rvi?pf_rd_p=186412001&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_t=1501&pf_rd_i=home&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1SEYQ2BFD2C64FJFNPMF Got this the other day. Stuck it on my mess of a desk at work. Plugged in the USB to my laptop, clicked a couple things in Audacity's settings (the program to rip the files) and it plays thru the speakers connected to my comp. (JBL Monsters) Love it. Now I sit and listen to records at my desk all day...
  12. We had a bunch, and sold out. It's an awesome looking record.
  13. d' you mean kurt ballou ? it make me really wanna catch this one.... Yes. He specifically requested we do 180gram vinyl.
  14. I uploaded some pics here... http://www.deadformat.net/press/45#photos Also, if you were let down with the 180g vinyl. Blame Erika Records. They pressed it. Kurt says it sounds great.
  15. We started with all new releases...and new represses, and we're working our backwards...slowly. PS. All releases that DO have the codes, have it listed in the item descriptions.
  16. And am I am moron or is there anyway to get emails when threads are responded to?
  17. tre, if one of them was mine (last name: manguso) and its going to end up clearing you out of all of your copies--which would be a bummer-- you can take mine off. but do me a favor and convince jake to sell me one of those jane doe prints i know hes got stashed away It's all good. I have enough records... The orders are already sorted anyway.
  18. 4 orders came thru after it was sold out... All 4 of you are probably here... I hate shopping baskets... ...actually screw it... You guys can have mine. All the orders will get theirs... unless some other people who have a saved shopping basket try and put that thru...evil baskets...
  19. Yeah, just to be clear, the You Fail Me is gone, so even if it is / was in your cart... chances are... you missed out.
  20. Whoops... Sorry to dudes who ordered You Fail Me's after they sold out, I just got told that a couple went thru after it went out of stock...
  21. Yes, it is. Postage went up last may. Our rates reflect actual USPS rates.
  22. These will go fast, since there were only a few left over. I also found a bunch No Heroes on various colors. This is the main problem with not labeling records when they come out of the box... "Wait... do I have this? Did I save any of these?" Then we moved, and I realized... I cool, I have 30 of this color...and ZERO of this other. Great.
