also, she has a nikon p80, so not an slr and no interchangeable lenses, so it's rough to recommend any accessories.

HUGE fan of the super affordable 50 primes from everyone. I just made my statement based on the (probably inaccurate) assumption that everyone with a DSLR already owns one because they're so cheap and so good.

Just make sure it's what she'd really want. I'm a photographer too and there's not a whole lot of things I'd want in the $100-200 range. I know that sounds snobby but all the good stuff is really expensive and I'm sure she has the basics like filters, bags, etc. There are some fun things to get in that price range but most laymen don't know about them. I would not get a new lens on your budget, they're all junk in that range. Also, I don't think you can afford new strobes/lights so don't go that route. You can get her a nice tripod if she doesn't have one. The LensBaby is really cool and fun and makes a nice gift.

I have nothing against Thrice, I know a lot of people really enjoy their music, but Thrice was the first band they signed that signalled the departure from their old sound to what they became. Although I don't like their music I do put them on a much higher level than all the other shit they've signed since then, but Thrice was one of the first bands that shifted Hopeless' sound away from good punk rock to that bullshit they're doing now.

Most people are pretty weird about their mugs. I ended up finding one unused coffee mug in the closet back when they handed a bunch out for a promo a while ago. Now I have my own coffee mug and don't have to use styrofoam every morning!

so you know the green buzz is NOT the rare color...black is. this info came from a guy who sells on ebay who used to run and own dutch east india trading. the pressing info is out of 1000 with green out of 800 and black out of 200. most of the green went to the band for tour and about 300 of the black were water damaged and destroyed.

Seriously? I've never seen another copy on green. Also, I've purchased TWO sealed black copies within the past year. Not doubting you, just very surprised.

Holy goddamn fuck, I can't believe you're repressing those records! Fifteen changed my life. One of THE best bands ever. Buzz is a fucking masterpiece. I own the originals to both but I'll retire them and pick up the represses for listening.

Exactly what I was going to say. I actually enjoyed Crimson when it came out, even though it was a change in style, but that last record was total garbage.

If you just want something to tote them around in then Bags Unlimited has what you need. If you want something that adds some sturdy protection you need to look into DJ LP cases. I don't know of any fireproof cases for LPs.
