  1. When I saw that, I called him out on not taking care of the Ace Enders release first and people's questions surrounding it, and he proceeded to lump me in a group of people who are "bitching" about how he runs his label...
  2. It finally got here. Quite a lot of stuff for the price in my opinion...
  3. Did anyone other than myself order the catalog bundle and not get it yet?
  4. Oh, you're an asshole. My bad. Don't know many that would agree with you sir.
  5. Don't know many that would agree with you sir. Cool bro.
  6. "The Fiancee" is my least favorite album.... I'm just glad something of theirs is getting the vinyl treatment, who knows if the solidstate stuff ever will though...
  7. Can anyone recommend a good record store in Greensboro, NC. I googled it and a few came up but I'll probably only have time to go to one wanted to visit the best one possible! Thanks!
  8. I just sold a copy of Colors the other day...didn't realize there were so many people out there after it...
  9. I was just wondering if this happens to everyone else as much as it does me: There is that band you like, with that one particular record you think is their best...and for some reason you can find EVERY other album of theirs on vinyl BUT the one you want: Some examples: For the longest time I couldn't find a copy of As Tall As Lions self-titled or Thursday's - War All The Time. I kept seeing every other one of both bands records everywhere, and it almost felt like "settling" to think about just picking up a different album... Dashboard Confessional - Dusk And Summer. This album is perfection. Arguably the most commercially successful. But it's the only one not on vinyl, while generally all his other albums are findable. Some others: Mute Math's self-titled. Bloc Party-Silent Alarm (which I finally found) How ofter does this happen to you and what are some examples of bands where all but the one you want is available?
  10. Heck yes. Seen Dan Smith perform a couple times, and every time I walk over to his merch table hoping to see something of his on vinyl...always let down... So glad this album is seeing a pressing as it's my favorite...placed an order for the Opaque Teal!
  11. I only ordered "sometimes" and mine still hasn't shipped...
  12. Again, something I picked up when I cared more about the number of records in my collection rather than how much i listened to what was in my collection...I like Converge but it's not something I NEED on vinyl... What I do NEED is recording equipment... So if someone is looking for one of these, PM with an offer...
  13. Trying to get some recording equipment and I'm thinking about selling this. For the right offer.
  14. No not all. And again, I apologize for taking it out on you, in your thread. That was a very dickish move on my part.
  15. This happens a lot with pre-orders. I feel like there should be a limit one per person, especially on smaller runs, and then once everyone has gotten one, the trading and selling of variants can take place on here, deadformat, record stores, etc.
  16. I'm sure it's been discussed on here before...but I just wanted to hear some other opinions to try and be open minded about it...
  17. I started a thread because I felt bad about saying all that JUST to you...it's happened to me a couple times (people buying up tons of variants and not leaving any for those just wanting to own the record) and I took it out on you and i sincerely apologize for that... I wanted to hear some other opinions to see if it would change my own...
  18. I'm sure I'll get a crap ton of negative karma for this thread... But I just blasted someone in another thread: http://vinylcollective.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=61769 who straight up told some dude who he outbid on ebay that he "wants all three" of certain variant when the other dude basically just said he would have like to just OWN the record... Do variant collectors realize what they are doing or do they just not give a shit? Let's say some record is coming out that a bunch of people want and 300 get pressed. 100 blue. 100 red. and 100 black. Jim This-Is-An-Awesome-Record wants one. but Johnny Gotta-Have-Em-All gets 1 of each. So do 30 other Gotta-Have-Em-Alls. So that means that almost a whole third of the pressing is now gone because you had to have 3 copies of a record...when you are only ever gonna listen to 1! If that! I see the point, maybe, if it's for your favorite band, but i know quite a few collectors who do this with almost every record they own. And it sucks for the rest of who just want one... because guess what... it's a RECORD. it's for LISTENING... So I wanna hear some other opinions on this...maybe it'll change my opinion...
  19. See, its people like you who screw up everyone's chances of owning a record they want... do you not see how greedy you are saying "well, I want all three covers" to someone who just said to you that they wanted to own a copy of the record... I guess I'll never understand why someone would want to own more than one copy of anything if the one copy played fine... they are RECORDS. they are for LISTENING.
  20. ADTR is gone. Anyone want to take the PTM off my hands?
