  1. Mid East Rapper said to sound like he's got a NY style and bringing a lot of potential to the underground, 17 years old. Looking for all feedback available ; other singles also available on SoundCloud for review.

    Newest Track: https://soundcloud.com/music-by-solace/hate-it-or-love-it-prod-luke-white

Gave it a listen. You're nothing new, been done and redone and done again 100 times. The 2nd rapper was pretty cool, but I assume you're the first person to rap. Typical rhymes, flow is ok, but you want to be hard and you're nowhere close. Plus, you sound ignorant. "Say some stupid shit and gettin' Donald Trumpin". What does that even mean? Dumb. You're not it. Not even close. Sound smart, rap smart and you might have a chance.

The 2nd song about weed is so wanna be Cypress Hill mixed with garbage it hurts my feelings. Stop, just, STOP!!

  2. My white copy sounds great. I actually like the production way more on my copy over the Spotisfy stream I first listened to the other day. I may have to eat my words (Derek, I know you're saying I told you so), but this album isn't as bad as my first assessment. Still not a top album for me, but it's a weak 7.

  3. Thanks for all the information folks!

I struck out everywhere except for Tokyo. A couple of places had a few bits but it was way overpriced in Tower Records and some other places - and two chaps in one store were so pissed off that I had looked at some records on the floor which weren't for sale (they weren't marked up just said 'Rock' that I left without buying what I had in my hand so that was a shame.

Got some great stuff in Tokyo but I didn't have much time to shop! So missed the Shinjuku Disk Union and ended up in Shibuya DU and Recofan. Need another clean day or two - sadly just ran out of time.

I'll be considering a dedicated trip some time in the future I think...

Assuming you went to Kyoto and struck out after all the info I gave you, you're doing it wrong......

  4. That's pretty savage / narrow-minded for one listen, but to each his own I guess. I hear a lot of good things going on in this record and I suspect it'll only grow better with a bit more time and additional plays.

I get what you're saying, it's just not what I like in music right now.  Will I like this record more one day?  Maybe, who knows, that's the mystery of music.  For now, I lean more towards heavier guitar / music, and this just doesn't have much of it.  I also really don't like the production for some reason.  It's just my opinion, if other people love the record, great, it's just not for me right now.

  5. Just got through my first listen.  It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either.  Too soft and melodic for my tastes.  Doesn't really feel like a Deftones record to me.  I can see why Stephen had less interest in playing / writing on this record given the direction the songs took.  At the moment, I doubt I'll ever listen to this record again and would have no interest in hearing any of those new songs live.

  6. i'm so torn with this. they're playing in Vegas soon and i would love to see Manson, but have never liked Slipknot.

AND, rob zombie will be here with Korn,

i think a Manson/Zombie show would be a way better option

I think in the late 90's, early 00's, all of the above would have been cool options, but now, they're the worst options ever.
