Lol, I wasn't paying attention to the "w/ some writing on the cover" comment. I will say, whoever is doing the forged signatures, they do a pretty good job and is about to fleece A LOT of people.
-
I'm out of the loop on this signed cds / record seller. What's the story on this one.

I found a clear at a Barnes and Noble an hour away. Still need to call and confirm it's actually clear before driving that far, but assuming it is, I'll be making the drive this evening. Hopefully others can find random clears popping up at stores soon.

the comment was made by someone who uses Taylor swift reaction gifs to prove every point he makes and thinks it's ironic. Let him have his opinion.
I think we just became best friends.

Chicago's greatest hits for $21.99. Lol.

Buy a cheap acid-free glue stick, and that should work fine.
Hot glue gun is what I always use and it works great.

I was lucky to see that Amoeba e-mail and pick on up. I listened to the record for the first time this morning, pretty solid effort, especially given how sick he must have been while doing it. That being said, I still like Freddie's final effort with Queen better. Innuendo is such a killer record.

Did anyone in Europe receive their copy from relapse? Still waiting on mine..
You might want to contact them. I'm in the states and hadn't received the copy I ordered, followed up a week ago, they e-mailed me back saying it had been canceled b/c they didn't receive enough.

That Druglord /100 glow in the dark already sold out. That was fast! I didn't pick it up, listened to it on YouTube before the pre-sale but wasn't really into it.

OBI purchased!
-
Yeah, it can be super annoying.
Agreed. I wasn't aware of this. I'm so sick of racist people and their ignorant views.
-
If you have any common sense and like black metal go buy the new MGLA (2015) from 20 Buck Spin. That record destroys.

So.. mine came in literally a plastic bag today, my heart dropped when I saw it because I already knew. Like where was the thought process while shipping this?
"Oh brand new vinyl record shipping across country? Eh a plastic bag should do the trick"
Seriously probably the worst packing job I've ever seen since that guy selling Father John Misty's on Amazon for $4 & Mr. Vinyl a couple months back..
Put it on Ebay for $40 BIN and don't worry about it. I sold 3 for well over $45 plus shipping, so surely idiots will buy this 1/1 gem.

I think I'm going w/ the OBI version for the Goya record. The price is way more than I want to spend, but the pictures he's posted of the records for the OBI variant look sweet.

There's also a whole series of Youtube documentaries the band posted during the lead up to the release of Purple where Baizley talks a bit about that as well, and how it played into his lyric writing for this record.
Right on. I wasn't aware of those, but will definitely check them out today.

1) Ghost - Meliora
2) Blacklisted - When People Grow, People Go
3) Drug Church - Hit Your Head
4) Loma Prieta - Self Portrait
5) No Devotion - Permanence
6) Mutoid Man - Bleeder
7) Dustin Kensrue - Carry the Fire
8) Birds in Row - Personal War
9) John Carpenter - Lost Themes
10) Marilyn Manson - The Pale Emperor
Just missed the cut: The Saddest Landscape, Goblin, Goblin Rebirth, Dead Mothers, Deafheaven, Uncle Acid
Damn, forgot that new Manson came out this year. That would likely be in my top 10 too, but not sure what would get bumped.

For fucks sake. You are a simpleton.
Thanks guy who's obsessed with Dave Grohl.

If anyone gets Decibel, there's a good Baizley interview. I didn't realize he was in constant pain and has to be on pain medication 24/7, otherwise the pain is unbearable. Apparently due to a large nerve in his arm that runs loose after the accident. He equated it to sticking his arm into water with a toaster. Sounds miserable. More power to him for pushing through, that would drive me insane and I'm not sure how I could cope.

So much stuff comes out over the course of a year, I almost have trouble remembering, but here goes. I think my album of the year is the new Clutch, the rest are in no particular order.
Clutch - Psychic Warfare
Intronaut - The Direction of Last Things
Coliseum - Anxiety's Kiss
Sand - Death To Sheeple (this band fucking rules. If you like hardcore, this is some of the best. Japanese hardcore at its best!)
Coal Chamber - Rivals
Fear Factory - Genexus
Slayer - Repentless
Cryptopsy - The Book Of Suffering (EP1)
Leviathan - Scar Sighted
Valkyrie - Shadows

I have two of them stacked and they're sturdy as ever. They've been that way for 2+ years
That makes 2 of us.

Wow, this part means that I am pretty much done with ordering records from the US:
First Class Package International Service postage rates will increase by an average of 21.6% in 2016, however Commercial Base and Plus prices will remain the same next year. The average price increases by pound are:
Sucks big time, even more so because they just raised their prices what, 2-3 years ago?
Yes, I think the last international increase was 3 years ago. This will kill my international Discos business. It's not much now because it's do expensive. Probably just going to stop shipping internationally because of this.

4.99$ per item to Canada is dirt cheap
I've seen 15$ for one record before.
It's expensive to send a single lp to Canada. Just for a record under 1 lb. it's $11, plus any packing materials. At least that's how much it costs when I ship using my shipping program. $2.99 for US isn't bad I guess if you're just ordering 1 or 2 records, but for anything more it seems pretty high.

I think you have to compare really.
After browsing some more I noticed that some are cheaper and others not.
$2.99 per item for US shipping is pretty painful.
what's the most you've ever spent on a record?

Upwards of $200+ is probably the most I've ever spent on a single record. I buy a lot of collections and last year was the biggest I've ever bought. It was 4,000 albums and they were 60's through 80's soul, funk, r and b, and rap. 95% of the collection was like new, in shrink. I paid $4,000 for that collection.
