  1. She's on meds but I know her and she's not the type to except the fact that she has a real disease. Her Mom also has bi polar so getting info from her isn't any better and her family hasn't returned my emails so far. I'd like to visit her and reassure her everything will be OK as a friend.

I've never known anyone who is bipolar or anything related to that, but I would agree with Ronnie and say that you should do what you feel comfortable with. Even if that is support at a distance, like being in contact with family members through email. I think that it's certain to say that someone going through that will be able to use all of the help/support that they are offered. I think you'll figure out the right thing to do, you seem like a pretty good guy that you're considering it, and not completely turning your back on her which would be the easy thing to do in the situation. Just my 2 cents  :)

  2. Had a hard time reading through this thread, knowing that the dog that I've had since I was 7 (the one in my picture) is getting on the older side. We rescued her from an abusive home, and I think when the time comes, its just best to know that we gave her a much better life then she would have had. It's been hard being away from home for the first time this year since I don't see her that often, I can't wait to see her again, I loved being home on winter break and getting to hang out with her all day like before.

But anyways, I think that that is the most important thing to remember, that you made a difference in their life for the better.

  3. American Bulldog. She looks something like this. Very athletic, fast dog. I just get the overall feeling she is a hunter.

Cat's younger and in normal condition. Declawed.

Yeah, when they met earlier the cat ducked under my bed and was safe. I just don't know if long term betting on the cat always getting away is a good option. I'm not even sure I'm going to keep the dog or not (fostering. she's the mom). Just thinking about it. I don't really want to send a bulldog back to the city of Detroit. Someone might use it as an outside guard-dog type animal.

i Hate when people do this, so i think it's awesome that you're doing whatever you can to help her. best of luck to you!

  4. I don't think it is fair to judge a show that was shot intending for a laugh track to be added and then take it away. It's like taking the music out of a music video and trying to judge it as a film.

They wouldn't be pausing after every line they say. That is where the uncomfortableness comes from.

That's definitely true. I think I'm biased toward it though because everyone always tells me I look like Howard haha. I do appreciate that he went into space and work's for NASA though! I am a physics major  ;)

  5. Wow that is tense without the laugh track.

This. It's funny because the reason I thought I didn't like it was because of the laugh track. But without they just seem like a bunch of jerks...

Either way, Parks and Rec is awesome. I never got into Community, but have thought about it because I loved watching Derrick's Comedy back in the day. They really got popular after Mystery Team I guess.
