Finally tracked down a copy of Fight Club at my local store, is on hold. How was the audio quality on this? Packaging aside , I don't want to drop $85Aud if it sounds like ass. Havent had great experiences with Mondo pressings lately!

Missed Fight Club, shattered!

Just got shipping from Amazon..can't wait to spin this thing! Love all the tracks I've heard so far. Sounding a bit more 'riffy' and aggressive than Thresholds but it ain't no bad thing. Reviews have been good from what I've seen!

Well my nightmare came true. Just received my copy of The Fountain today and the record is dished as hell. Like BAD. Completely unplayable. Ugh, of all records! This has been my most anticipated released of all time, I actually spoke to Clint about it when he played in Australia a year or so ago, and to finally hold it in my hands and not be able to play it is shattering. 

My first Mondo purchase too!

Finally got my mega bundle! Everything is awesome, well except for the tee which I wasn't a fan of.  I just gave my LP's a deep clean and listening now. A bit of noise and my 1st lp is slightly warped. Nothing TOO bad but enough to irk me since this is one of my most favourite records.

Can anyone comment on the standard blue variant? Might pick it up from Amazon .

Hopefully a black retail version is on the way. The web variant looks amazing but ultimately I want to hear this with A+ sound quality. From the sounds of it I probably don't want to listen to this with my headphones!

Hope not! This is my first time ordering from Mondo actually.  I was in rush to order (5am Aussie time) and I had a choice of DHL International $13, or First Class International $23. Went with DHL, hope is ok!

Haha if you wanna drive to Melb I'll happily oblige! But man, it takes a toll on the 'ol back and wrist lol. Definitely couldn't do this for all my collection. BUT, when Act V arrives it's getting the royal treatment

Congrats on on the minimal surface noise. Mine weren't bad, but could be a bit better.

This is true. In the past I have cleaned with a brush, had a listen then do the deep clean but now I'm nervous that I'm just pushing any dirt & dust into the groove so just better to clean properly first.  Couldn't say how much better I got it to be fair but the records look pretty nasty so I was expecting the worst!

Just received my deluxe copy. Wow...really impressed! That belly band tape sure is hard to get on/off though, nah well. My records look like they've been through war! They have vertical lines all across them and scuff marks. Due to how poor they looked I thought I better go all out on the cleaning so I use my Audio Intelligence No.15 deep clean wash and soaked/scrubbed for about 10 mins each side with 2 runs on my Record Doctor V. Then followed up with the No.6 wash, again twice through.

To my surprise & delight they came out sounding amazing! The tiniest of pop's here and there but VERY quiet and nothing that detracts from the music at all. Phew!

While it took me a good hour to clean both LP's, the results were definitely impressive.

Anyway, now on to some solid listening!

Late to the thread but if anyone is able to hook me up with a copy I would be forever grateful! My favorite film/score of all time!

The print is smaller than I thought, though I don't remember if they ever mentioned dimensions.  But it's cool nonetheless.

 

The designer part of me has nitpicky shit to say about IV vs V.  But I'll leave that pretentious talk for another thread.

 

The LP is actually slightly on the quiet side, but it really opens up and sounds great once you turn it up a little.

I actually thought the mp3's sounded a bit quiet too so the vinyl is probably in line. No issues on noise? My original Act IV sounded rubbish and had to get the 2nd variant.  Is their a lyric book w/art in this? I thought I saw something somewhere.

Yeah the last track could have been so epic but it just died out. Disappointing!

That looks amazing!! Nic pics dude. Really regretting picking that variant now. I had the similar one for their split and it was quite noisy so decided to get the solid gold/silver.  Let us know how it sounds!

Yo. Is the recent Legacy 180g reissue good? I just revisited my MOV copy and it's noisy as shit even after a good clean.  Is the Legacy worthwhile?

Listened to the leak and really not feeling it. I knew it would be along these lines and I like their more down-tempo atmospheric tracks on the previous albums but this really doesn't hold my attention. Love this band so will give it a few more listens but at this stage I'm glad I didn't blind buy like I usually do.

Up on Amazon also - says release date is Dec 16th though. Also states 2XLP.  As mentioned, pretty small pressing but I'll try my luck with Amazon, so much cheaper shipping to Aus.

Has anyone stuck stickers on their deluxe cover yet?

Love the new track! Wonder if this will be up at Amazon. Shipping to Aus is shiiit.
