  1. GO BONKERS! http://www.chunksaah.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_6_10&products_id=377 In December 2010, The Bouncing Souls and Hot Water Music embarked on a tour of Australia and New Zealand, that was routed in a hotel room in Vancouver in 2003. To celebrate the tour (affectionately dubbed the “Bud Bath Down Under”), The Bouncing Souls and Hot Water Music put together this special 7" to bring with them. 2. Sorry...this isn't about records but it still may be of interest to some or many of you. A couple weeks ago, Shirts for a Cure (an organization that raises awareness about breast cancer prevention) hit a deer with their Sprinter. The SFAC Sprinter has been one of their most important fundraising assets and without it their charitable work will need to be slowed a bit. A few of the remaining posters that I have designed for SFAC in the past are now available at Chunksaah and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to SFAC. If you like the bands on the poster, or you like my designs, or you just want to help out, please order a poster today. They are very affordable and the money raised will really help a lot. http://www.chunksaah.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=4_21
  3. You can expect "official" info on the non-tour versions early next week.
  4. yeah i know...but it's a big enough set that maybe it deserves two posts...don't you think? haha.
  5. COCK SPARRER "ESSENTIALS" BOX SET Pre-Order now available from Pirates Press Records. "LIVE ESSENTIALS" and individual releases also available. Check out the full list and description at http://piratespress.com/essentials/
  6. As someone who walked past the location of the Matawan Shark Attacks on a daily basis for many many many years, I think I need to pick this up on principle alone. I've heard/read about this release plenty of times before, but after seeing these pics, I definitely want it! Looks awesome.
  7. I actually thought the white vinyl w/ etching turned out a lot better than I was expecting...I think I prefer it. I wouldn't try to sell anyone on the brilliance of Sticks and Stones with this release (that's what "Theme Song for Nothing" is for) but for fans (especially if you already have "The Strife and Times"), these versions really shed an interesting light on this bands earliest moments. And when I got the master, I was shocked to hear how good they sounded. There is still a significant amount of unreleased S&S stuff floating around (like an unreleased alternate studio version of "Saved", some really interesting live stuff from WFMU, and probably some stuff I don't know about) so hopefully this won't be the last release we see. I'll take whatever I can get!
  8. I've seen some of the samples for this and it looks sick! Expect news on this in the next couple weeks. Did anyone get the MRR issue with the "Spirit of '76" flexi included?
  9. Adrenalin O.D.'s "The Wacky Hi-Jinks of...." has been reissued by Psychic Volt on Limited Edition Pink Vinyl and Chunksaah has a handful of copies! Order now and get the "Phat N' Old (Live on WFMU)" CD for free. When Chunksaah did the 25 Anniversary 2xCD "Wacky Hi-Jinks" a few years back, I wished that we could have done a vinyl edition as well, so we are really happy that Psychic Volt has picked up where we left off with this 1984 debut LP from these NJ Hardcore Punk legends. Get into at the Chunksaah Records Online Store: http://www.chunksaah.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_6_12
  10. "1987" pre-orders ship at end of this week! The response, so far, has been amazing. Thanks to everyone who has already ordered this. Very proud of this release!
  11. PunkNews.org is hosting an Exclusive Stream of the PACER "No. 1" EP. The record hits the streets tomorrow! Listen at http://www.punknews.org/bands/pacer Buy it at http://www.chunksaah.com, http://www.shopradiocast.com, http://www.interpunk.com, etc. etc.
  12. Super excited about this! In my opinion, Sticks and Stones were the best band to ever claim NJ as their home, and this is where it all begins. More info, funny old photos, a song, and much more at http://www.chunksaah.com/1987 but here are the basics..... STICKS AND STONES: "NINETEEN EIGHTY SEVEN" Chunksaah Records / Gunner Records U.S. Street Date: October 12, 2010 Preorder Available at http://www.chunksaah.com/store A one-sided 12" EP backed with an engraving of the classic 80's-90's New Jersey Hardcore band's iconic logo. This is the first time ever release of the group's original 6 song Demo. Showing surprising maturity and musicianship for a gang of 17 year olds and their adopted 21 year old singer, "1987" features members who would go on to be dead, missing, playing in the popular World/Inferno Friendship Society, cutting their teeth, bloodying their knuckles and sharpening their minds on outrage barely contained by melody. At the time compared to Stiff Little Fingers, "1987" was recorded at the then fledgling Trax East Studios, and gained the band a contract to 7Seconds' Positive Force label that helped kick start the legendarily fecund New Brunswick, NJ punk scene. Honest, intelligent, angry Punk Rock from Ronald Reagan's Amerika. Hello!
  13. PACER: "No. 1" - Debut 10" EP Available from Chunksaah Records Street Date: September 14th Pre-orders ship September 3rd Digital Download Card included with Vinyl! Although PACER itself is in it's infancy, the four members have been releasing music for over a decade. Most appropriately, Mark & Dave were members of anthemic UK hardcore band THE STEAL who broke up in late 2009; leaving two full length albums and memorable tours with Lifetime, Paint It Black & Against Me! to name but a few. For Fans Of: The Bouncing Souls, The Descendents, Lifetime, Latterman Pressing Info: "Electric Blue" Vinyl [200pcs] "Orange Crush" Vinyl [150pcs] "Grey w/ Black Splatter" Vinyl [150pcs] "Black" Vinyl [20pcs] Visit http://www.chunksaah.com for more info. Yup.
  14. I'm pretty excited about how these turned out. I've designed for a bunch of Picture Discs and even a couple Shaped Discs but never for the two combined so I'm pretty proud of this one. They sound great too. Tom Petta did an amazing job with mixing the audio tracks for the live track and mastering the record as a whole. These should be available at the Pirates Press Records website in a couple weeks.
  15. This ends today at 12 Noon PST. It is only up to $550. Check it out at http://www.piratespressrecords.com

  18. Wow! These look cool. I wish I had a copy!
  19. 1st and 2nd pressing have the same packaging. Reverseboard Jacket (refers to the finish - printing on the uncoated side of the paper) and Embossing (the shape that is raised). The 2nd press, at least from the couple that I checked out, seem like the Embossed Shape is even more pronounced on the 2nd press than on the 1st press and you can see it a bit more in the photo...I like it!
  20. Bouncing Souls "Ghosts on the Boardwalk" LP 2nd Pressing on Blue Vinyl with Embossed Reverseboard Jacket. Visit http://www.chunksaah.com/store for details.
  21. Pirates Press has some nice pics in their "Record of the Week" Blog at http://www.piratespress.com/rotw. Check em out!
