  1. i forgot to add these. i likem

-FRANKENHOOKER (gore, hookers, pimps, super crack, reanimation, love story, exploding hookers, etc. i might take this off the list. this movie rules)

-SLEEPAWAY CAMP 3-TEENAGE WASTELAND (one of my favorite movie franchises, but this movie is so bad. firecracker in the nose was a pretty awesome kill though)

-BLACK PAST-OLAF ITTENBACH'S FIRST MOVIE (acting is bad, but the kills and the level of gore/violence makes this movie awesome.)

-FULL MOON HIGH (cheesy and pretty funny)

-STUDENT BODIES (i like this and i don't care how bad it is. the kills are ridiculous, but funny. one of the first horror/slasher spoofs made. paper clip kills, malvert is fuckin hilarious, horse head book ends and kristen ritter is adorable.) good call controlthebleeding.

  2. Just watched The Burning Moon (Olaf Ittenbach).Picked it up on VHS at Half Price Books for $3.00. This is one of the most violent horror movies I have ever seen, I love it! Olaf Ittenbach is so underrated, he is one of my favorite directors and as far as horror directors go, i would put him up there with Argento, Fulci and Bava. If you love gore and all things horror, watch this movie.

i found a scene on youtube. It's the descending into hell scene. The quality is not great, sorry, but there is plenty of gore.

  3. Interesting start. A wee bit slow but understandable. Shit's gonna get real as Quinn starts digging. And c'mon...am I the only who's stoked to see Robocop join the cast?!?!
it's off to an amazing start.

i predicted quinn and deb gettin it in on the first episode of season 3. it was inevitable that they would hook up, but i didn't think it would happen at the scene of a murder, especially at dexter's house.

loved the the impulse/rage kill in the bathroom followed by a mini emotional breakdown.

this could be the beginning of the end for quinn. shit's going to get real intense when he finds trinity's son in the supermarket and ask if he knows this man and is this kyle butler? can't wait for that.

the fbi interview is going to be interesting.

some of the new kills look amazing, not dexter's, but the other murderers. bodies in oil drums, decapitations, cult related killings.

juan you are not the only one who is stoked about robocop. when saw that we said ah shit, robocop! didn't even call him peter weller. he is forever robocop!

i heard julia styles is going to be on this season. love interest, maybe? don't know how i feel about that.

STOKED FOR EVERYTHING GOING TO HAPPEN!

  4. you gotta go into chicago and take them to uno's pizza. best in the city!

come to Chicago and I'll take you to at least 5 places better than Uno's.

deal. i have only been to a couple pizza places up there and i just liked this one a little more than the others. i went to Giordano's and i think the other one was My Pie, i don't remember if that was the actual name and i didn't know uno's was a chain.
  5. All my family and friends are asleep and the ones that are up our working. It's lonely and quiet while I'm keeping an eye on my dad who's bedridden with cancer while the rest of my family gets some sleep. I can kinda feel the day getting closer and the nights are getting harder to handle. Anyone here loose a loved one or has one facing this god forsaken disease?
i am very sorry to hear that you are going through this and i can relate. i lost my aunt shirley to breast cancer last december, my aunt betty to stomach cancer in may and my uncle harold just had surgery for throat cancer and from what the doctors say, it doesn't look like he is going to make it past new years.

if you need anybody to talk to, don't hesitate to ask.

be safe and cherish the time you had with them.

  6. dude, my condolences. Sorry to hear that oakland.

i can wholeheartedly agree with alison. That's why i feel for people more when they lose their pets. A dog is the only thing on earth that will love you more than you love yourself. and with that in mind, it's hard when you lose something like that. Hence why i feel for people more when things like this happen.

But I'm glad to know she had a great life.

  7. personally i think inside is an extravagant blood film. too much brutal.

anyway, i like the way this film is but i think most films in flowers of flesh series and blood are better.

if you're interesting in flowers of flesh and blood series, i suggest episode 1, 2, 4 and 6.

i'm also looking for dead snow, hlotergeist.

    ....

i loved all of them. so brutal that some people actually thought it was an authentic snuff film. and dead snow was always awesome.
  8. Seen It? I have owned this movie on VHS, and DVD (twice). Yeah, its sickening, but from the title, what do you expect. Sure there's all the stuff listed above, but the overall movie is excellent. If you pay attention and not watch for the sake of shock value, there is a story behind all that madness. Also if you've read De Sade's book version, Pasolini's film adaptation is nothing short of a G rating compared to the text that is the novel.

Watch it, but try to remember that there is a reason for the violence and sadism. All this does serve a purpose by giving insight to the whole post war Italian fascism era. Its intentions were not meant to shock as they were to show you the harsh depravity during that era.

I may need to watch this again. it's been a few years.

would've liked to have the vhs version of this. i just have the criterion collection 2xdvd. it's one of/if not the most shocking film ever made, but i also think its one of the best movies ever made too.

there are also quite a bit of big fake dicks in the final torture scene, but that is more funny than shocking.
